Harold’s chicken & bar

I’ve been coming here for a couple years food is amazing. However I would like to see Chris and DJ out the kitchen and using their talents to push the Harold’s brand even larger than what it already is!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

I want to start off by saying if you’re from the Lou and are visiting know there is a place on the Hollywood blvd for you to enjoy cooking that is close if not like you granny’s cooking!! The cabbage was perfection, the short rib was divine, and the yams y’all I’m telling you know it’s all so delicious. When I first came in I was greeted and felt/ smelt the love and care in the air. My server was amazing along with the chef who came and introduced himself so we could put a face to the taste!! All in all you’ll have a great time because they have games, great drinks, customer service, Dj whipping up some fire mixes in the space, and other killer events. So please find yourselves at Harold’s Chicken on the Hollywood blvd, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I had seen this place all over TikTok and was so excited to try it! But we were extremely disappointed! We first ordered the fried okra and we should have just up and left after we were served those. Not only did they look unappetizing but they lacked flavor as well. Church’s chicken has better okra…presentation, quantity, and flavor. We also ordered the grits & catfish and grits & oxtails. These dishes were just ok. I don’t like sweet sugar grits so I was unable to enjoy mine. The restaurant was full and had a nice crowd. Although we had reservations we were sat at a rickety rockety bistro table covered with a table cloth (something you rent for parties). In this corner of the restaurant I guess they were trying to create more seating so we were sandwiched in there. Very uncomfortable! The waitress couldn’t even get by without bumping us. When she brought the check I questioned the charge for the okra asking if there had been an error…shouldn’t we have been charged the snack price? (Look at the photo) She laughed and said “everyone always asks that”. $9.75 for what you see pictured here? And $22 for a drink served in a plastic cup. Unbelievable! They have a photographer that walks around staging photos…so that’s why it looks like something it’s NOT on TikTok. Save your money!!! The best thing about this place was the DJ.

I don’t know how this place is still in business. The food is terrible. They need better chefs to execute better food. The fries were so soggy. I had to reheat them in my air fryer, and the chicken sandwich was so dry. It was practically not edible I’ve never had a chicken sandwich so dry in my entire life

Came in for a late night dinner was greeted by Jasmine. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Please come by and ask for her you won't be disappointed. She make the whole vibe

I had a great time they have games, good food and great atmosphere. I came with five people we got the 24 piece chicken and 12 fish greens and one Mac, buffalo shrimp. We had plenty of food to come home with and my son said he’s save up his money so he can get some more mac & cheese:-) you have to find parking

Love the cabbage and smoke turkey. Spaghetti and fish took me back to Family dinners on Friday. Anthony and staff had great customer service. Excellent vibe!!!!!

Best Spaghetti Iive had in LA. A TRUE AUTHENTIC HOMEMADE TASTE! Ive been coming here for the last 5 years and Anthony the Weekight Soulfood Chef and Caesar have been the most hospitable and kind employees I’ve experienced. Them alone will keep me coming back, not to mention the food is spectacular!
