Really delicious food and great service! Tried the spicy tuna crispy rice, vegetable tempura, agedashi tofu, and salmon + tuna sushi, all of which was really tasty and the sushi was super fresh. Will definitely be coming back!

This is quickly becoming my favorite sushi spot in LA. Might be in the top 3 for best sushi I’ve ever had in LA. Not just because of the quality, but because it’s paired with the friendly and generous staff (complementary dishes!!), and the creativity that always gets it right. Everything is SO GOOD.

Highly recommend making this your go-to spot too… just save me a seat!

This hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant has some of the BEST sushi I've ever had. It's a quaint setting inside, but Hato near Koreatown LA is serving up QUALITY sushi and fun Japanese fusion dishes.

Here's everything you should try:
- Toro garlic toast, this is like spicy tuna crispy rice but make it ~GLORIFIED~ with caviar and gold flakes on top.
- 8-piece premium sushi set that comes with miso soup made from fish bone. Each piece of fish was perfectly dressed and melts in your mouth.
- If you're in the mood for cooked items, try the Hato rice in hot stone, this was absolutely delectable with two HUGE chunks of black snapper and so umami~

Thanks for reading! ^-^

Amazing freshness, daily special fish from Japan and great skill from head chef Tony. I had 12pcs supreme sushi and it came with combination of unique fish that is not easy to find at other sushi restaurant and it was only $80, def worth it, will come back.

Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood is known for Korean food but did you know about Hato Sushi, my new favorite LA sushi spot? You can get a quality nigiri (of so much variety) sushi experience here for $80, and you have to also check out their other selections!

Each dish is made fresh once ordered and it really does feel like a journey for the tastebuds here @hatosushi_la. Do try their Red Miso Eggplant as an appetizer and also be sure to order their comforting Hato Rice in Hot Stone. Finally, if you’re like me, dessert always needs to happen and here, we had the perfect not-too-sweet, hot & cold treat☺️

We had:
Onion Albacore (albacore sashimi with crispy onion, ponzu & garlic paste)
?Red Miso Japanese Eggplant (deep fried eggplant served with miso dressing)
?Supreme Sushi Selection, including miso soup & 12 pieces of nigiri (Black Snapper, Amberjack, Threadfin Bream, GoldenEye Snapper, Halibut, Jack Mackerel, Striped Jack, Scallop, Tuna Belly, Salmon Belly, Sweet Shrimp, Hokkaido Uni)
?Ginza Roll (spicy tuna roll topped with albacore, crispy onion & spicy ponzu)
?Hato Rice in Hot Stone (hot pot with rice on top, black snapper, chive, mushroom, furikake, sesame oil, cilantro & sweet sauce)
?Green Tea & Sesame Ice Cream with Sweet Taro Potato Balls

This is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. 10/10 highly recommend. Will absolutely be back.

We had the Cherry Blossom roll, the Spicy Tuna roll, the Garlic Edamame, the Red Miso Eggplant, and the Chicken. Everything was incredibly high quality and perfectly simple ingredients. The perfect amount of spice. And the service was attentive and generous.

Went for a date with my wife and we were in the mood for sushi. This is a nice place. Service was nice and friendly. We had the california roll, cucumber roll, tempura, and a pitcher of beer. Everything was sooooo good. The ice cream dessert was so good as well. Everyone was friendly, thank you guys. We will be back!

The place was clean and the service was friendly, but I didn't like the food. It was too sweet for my taste. I'm not sure why the sushi was sweet, but the seasoning of the rice wasn't to my liking either. I won't be going back. The hot stone rice was also too sweet, and I only took one bite.

Visited recently and looking forward to my next stop in! Elegant neighborhood spot for either take out or dine in. Some creative and delicious rolls, appetizers and desserts. Not to mention everyone there is so friendly and even though I went on a slow night closer to close, the service was great :)
