Food: Ordered a Hainan Chicken set and a sprite. I originate from Malaysia. Our Ipoh chicken rice is slightly different from this dish but ever so slightly. Only difference is the sauce. Overall, sauce was great, chicken was nice and tender and perfect considering it's a Hainan Style dish. Rice was nice and firm, you could taste the chicken fat in every bite of the rice. (Extremely recommended to pour sauce over the chicken.) 10/10.Service: Not much to say about service, this place is kind of a small neighborhood type of restaurant. Cashier lady was nice and sweet. 7/10.Atmosphere: The atmosphere was perfect, felt like I was back in asia with the random seats, different color tables and chairs from home. 8/10.Cashier speaks Thai for any Thai customers.Kap Khun Krap, Heng Heng for bringing back memories from my home country. Will be coming back.Dietary restrictions: Non-Halal only. Serves pork.

Just one word…. AMAZING!!!The steamed chicken is usually either sold out or ran out of white meat by the time I get there cause it is THAT bussin’. Quite a small place but super tasty food. Everything on their menu is amazing. Best thai restaurant in LA everrrrr

Heng Heng Chicken Rice is a hidden gem known for its exquisite Hainanese Chicken and fragrant Garlic Rice. The tender, succulent chicken paired with aromatic garlic-infused rice creates a harmonious blend of flavors that delights the palate. With a friendly staff and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Hainanese cuisine.

Absolutely delicious and affordable. Can't wait to go back. Go with a group so you can order many items and try them all. Service was kind and efficient. They patiently answered our questions on our first time there.

Came twice in a week - my 5 interesting points: 1. White meat steamed chicken will sell out by dinner on a busy day and both white and dark steamed will sell out by 7:30-8p 2. Hot take don't get the garlic noodles, get the garlic rice instead. Garlic noodles are super oily like a chow mein. They don't go that well with Hainan Chicken or the Fried Chicken which is basically Chicken Katsu. You want rice. 3. $6 Chicken Wing order - 3 big ass wings (not talking Wing Stop wings - see photo) 4. White pepper broth soup they give you is amazing and they will give you more unsolicited but also if you ask 5. Try the Zaab chicken. I can't explain it, that shit is so flavorful it tastes like limon hot cheetos almost. I'm Korean, and medium is no joke in spice. I would do mild next time. Saw lots of Thai people both times, they play kpop which is vibes, will give you extra sauce to take home (do it), and parking is at the Dixie Motel right next door. Enjoy!

Today (2/23/24) I went to dine in. I ordered Dark Meat ( A La Carte) ,also I clearly pointed my finger at A La Carte picture Dark meat, then the waiter (the guy) asked me if I want A La Carte? Any rice? I said yes,I want A La Carte with rice too, because in the menu showed if you want rice extra $5. Then, he brought Dark meat over rice. I said I did not order this. He rudely replied me that he already asked me and I told him that I wanted rice. Yes, want rice but extra rice with A La Carte NOT over rice. It's okay about misunderstood. But you as server, should clarify what customer wants instead of blaming on others. Of course, majority of people will not order Chicken A La Carte without rice. And I told him I want rice. I DID NOT say dark meat 'over rice'. Best food.

Make sure you can wait, because they would serve dine-in customers before make your togo order. I ordered 4 boexes of chicken rice at 11:36am I got my order at 12.16 when 3 tables came after me and they all got their food. The server still insisted that the order took 20 mins to wait.

The Thai style Hainan chicken is of course the star of the show here. The sauce is the spicier variant instead of the ginger and oil version of Singaporean style one.I had the crispy chicken and crispy pork belly combo and added $2 for garlic noodles. The crispy pork and crispy chicken are top rate!I will skip the garlic noodle for the chicken rice instead next time. The servers were most attentive here. They even kept my soup full with refills!

I have been eyeing Heng Heng for a long time but what sealed the deal was when @misohungrry mentioned they made the #kfcthailand crispy chicken laab and for me, that was a Thai food fantasy that I needed to make happen. I went there with my 2 young sons and I was happy that their menu specialized to what they do best! The traditional Thai Style Chicken and Rice aka Khao Man Gai aka or provided the crispy option of fried chicken, pork belly or fish! In addition, you get the option to have your yumminess over garlic rice, steamed rice or yellow garlic noodles. If you are confused on which proteins to get, you can pick 2 proteins like half crispy chicken and pork belly. The part that made me the happiest Thai American foodie was getting it my entree Zapped aka Larb style. The combination of thinly sliced red onions, rice powder, lime juice, seasoned fish sauce, dried chili flakes, cilantro and to get that all coated with my crispy slices of chicken and pork belly tasted absolutely amazing. So many flavors and textures that I couldn't stop eating it! I loved it so much! Overall my kids loved this spot and we had no complaining and ate almost too well! All the sauces they offered hit so many spots and got their balance of flavors down. I also just found out they have closer take out location In Hawthorne and I cannot wait to order it on my way home from work! Check it out!

Got to know this pl from tiktok, the food looks delicious. Ordered the garlic rice w/ fried chicken and garlic noodle w/ crispy pork for CNY eve dinner. However, their prices are on the higher side, $2 extra for the noodle option. In my opinion, it is a little too much. A total of $30 for just 2 items. What do you think? Worth it? I do have to admit, they really taste great, extremely flavorful.
