This was my first experience ordering Filipino food! I ordered the Chicken Adobo and I wasn't able to take a photo of it since I tore up the entire bowl! The spices are amazing and the bowl was absolutely delicious! I have no complaints other than the fact that the pricing needs to be updated from $10-$20 to $20-30. The prices for the bowls are much more expensive than advertised and I spent about $25.00 on the Chicken Adobo bowl plus an iced cold glass bottle Coca Cola....
Having lived in Manila years ago, I was craving the tastes I remembered, and this spot delivered. The servers were friendly and excited to hear about my connection to the cuisine. The lechon kawali was crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside, and the halo-halo brought back summer memories. The ambiance mixed casual dining with cultural pride, making me nostalgic and happy.
Lumpia… hot, fresh and crispy (didn’t need the sweet chili but much appreciated)
Pork Lechón Kawali (pork belly) super crispy, tender and perfectly served over rice with a nice runny egg.
The slaw on the side was a great balance.
