I had a horrible time here, as a queer poc I walked in excited to try this new local coffee shop. And The vibes were immediately not it!! Baristas were slammed dunk on a weekend to people who seemed to not even pay for their food?
So bless their hearts for trying tend to seemingly snooby people, who I never once saw pay!!
Barista who tended to me was kind and apologetic on something that wasn’t even their fault… give him an extra paid 15…
The people here on the weekend also seemed off, as I was openly wearing my pride pin and accessories.
Food was okay, crowd was mediocre… Baristas were kind… i wish I had also gotten free food… just everything about this place seemed like nothing it was advertised as.. not a safe space :/ man yall hyped this up too much… free my barista kings n queens…
The food, coffee, and staff were amazing. Too dark for me tho

I HATE when locations change the menu and remove EVERYTHING worth eating!!! Why change a great thing, only to add
overpriced items to the menu!!!

So I’ve been coming to Hilltop literally since it opened. When it first opened I remember when food would sell out, then they got into a groove of amazing food and great service. Lately that had gone down each time I go. This last time(this morning) was the last straw unfortunately. I ordered the Issa’s Ritual smoothie and some tater tots with extra spicy mayo. I waited about 25 minutes for those items and only got the smoothie after reminding the barista that I have been waiting on the smoothie. It was sitting in the blender. I understand they are busy but it seems they have been understaffed for months now. I’m patient I can wait, the egregious part was that my tots were ice cold and one of the spicy mayos was very much spoiled. I opened it and immediately knew it was bad. It smelled foul and was not even the same color as the first one I received. I felt nauseous after opening it and couldn’t finish the cold tots. The smoothie was really good but I can’t justify the price or the wait times for it. I really used to love hilltop and would go almost daily. I can no longer support until they get things together up there. 😞

If you know, you know. Hilltop isn’t just a coffee spot—it’s a vibe. The menu has the kind of range that keeps you coming back, whether you’re pulling up for a quick latte, sliding in for a team huddle, or knocking out a few emails like you’re running the world from your laptop. The atmosphere is warm, creative, and welcoming—exactly the kind of place where conversations flow as easily as the coffee.
This morning, since we were having church at home, I put Hilltop to the test and ordered two of their shrimp breakfast bowls—and let me tell you, this dish preaches. Think perfectly seasoned shrimp—tender with just the right sear—laid over a hearty base of fluffy jasmine rice. Add in velvety scrambled eggs, roasted sweet potatoes with that caramelized edge, and fresh sautéed kale that gives you that “I’m still eating healthy” balance. Drizzle on their house-made sauce (that hits somewhere between tangy and soulful), and you’ve got a bowl that feels like Sunday brunch and grandma’s kitchen got together and made magic.
Hilltop keeps finding ways to impress me, whether I’m in there in person or bringing it home. If you haven’t pulled up yet, do yourself a favor. And if you’re already a regular, you know why I keep raving.

Good coffee, nice vibe. But consistently slow. They prioritize mobile orders over in person visits. Good coffee but if for a 15+ min wait the last 3 times I’ve come, giving it a pass next time. They need to work on some efficiencies.

Come on guys. I asked for extra eggs in my breakfast burrito and I basically got minus eggs all together. Whyyyyyy. If I got it in store I would’ve sent it back…. It’s $23!! I hit my fat and carb goal for the day. Gonna go eat protein powder for the next 15 hours. 🤦♂️ low protein portions even when asked for extra deserves 2 stars. Sorry.

Nice cafe with delicious food. The superfood bowl was just what I needed to get my fruits and veggies in. There was window seats and large tables. There were few small tables outside in the shade. Service was okay but wasnt exactly friendly.I wish the hot tea would have more of a variety other than a cheap teabag I can buy anywhere.
Parking was plentiful, thankfully!

Abhorrent service. I’ve never been treated with such disdain, nor attitude by a service worker.
Second day in a row visiting this coffee shop in our new neighborhood. Yesterday my wife’s coffee was scalding hot, while mine was lukewarm. I’m curious to know how they even made that happen.
We overlooked the experience and went back today. After two groups that arrived and ordered drinks after me were served theirs first, I went to the bar to make sure my order hadn’t been lost. The so called barista gave me so much attitude, I was dumbfounded.
When she finally made our order she even made a point to not differentiate which coffee was regular and which was decaf.
Avoid this place unless you want to be treated like crap but “service” persons.

I went in to get a small order. First time here though I live up the Vista. Firstly, that door…anywho, the cashier was a young black woman without an ounce of happiness on her face as we approached. Not even welcoming us or asking if we needed time. It was overall poor customer service. Wasn’t even polite to my boys. We waited and it was getting a little long for what we ordered so I went up to the counter. The young man working with the most beautiful dark skin and high cheekbones also, looked like he’d never been happy. I guess he’s the only barista and what not but…idk I worked in food service I didn’t see a third, expediter. One of us got a matcha and shortly claimed it to be the worst one they’ve had and the simple drink I had, I could’ve gone to the liquor store for a juice. It just wasn’t pleasant enough to visit again.
