First time here. Shared the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito. Both were good 👍 but the burrito was the favorite 🌯🫶 the green salsa it comes with yum! 🤤 the young ladies who work here are very sweet.
Clean even the bathroom.

The coffee, breakfast sandwich, and breakfast tots were INSANELY delicious. I would come back in a heartbeat. It is a small place, so it was standing room only to eat when I went, but it wasn't bad. They have a long counter we could stand at. I will be back!

It is a bit expensive, but I always enjoy the food and drinks I get here, and the folks that work there are always so nice. Shoutout to Z!! They also give a neighbor discount if you live closeby, which I appreciate.

Definitely go for the coffee. Delicious speciality lattes, albeit much smaller than you would expect.
Ordered food on here on a few occasions and its ridiculously overpriced. Remembered getting grits and a coffee and it was the most underwhelming $30 I’ve ever spent. Chicken sandwich is slightly better though if you want to drop $18 on a little sandwich.

Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen is cozy corner coffee shop in Eagle Rock neighborhood of LA offering breakfast, bowls, and pastries, and outdoor seating. This particular store is located on the ground floor of an apartment (The Perch) building on Eagle Rock blvd. And they have other locations throughout the city of LA. The HCK coffee business is owned and operated by Yonnie H. + Ajay R.
HCK’s indoor layout is spacious and naturally well lit thanks to its large windows. Moreover, you’ll find its interior decor with acrylic art paintings and a huge wallpaper flower with neon sign. We came early weekend morning as first time customers and were warmly greeted by staff. Their drink menu has vast items of hot and cold coffee as well as tea. Similarly, they have good healthy food items. I had a RED EYE Coffee and Salmon Egg toast. Drink was perfectly brewed and food was good.
Service was on point. Staff were affable, competent and professional. Prices seem fair and competitive; they have 5% service charge to support their staff. Free Wifi. Street Parking in this area is limited but not impossible. Overall, I had a good experience and it’s a nice little corner coffee shop to chill and have light breakfast. I recommend you visit.

It was my first time visiting this cafe this morning, and I must say the food quality was excellent! Cold pressed orange juice along with the short rib grill cheese sandwich.... 😋 Mmmm!!! Anna took really good care of us during our visit. What a lovely/friendly local establishment. I'll surely return next time I'm in town.. thanks

The Bangin Breakfast Sandwich was fire 🔥. 8/10. Latte was awesome as well even though I played it safe with simple Hazelnut Nut. Misses got some type of etouffe gumbo & grits typesh*t 😂 but it was VERY GOOD. (Editor: The dish is called The Soul Bowl). I also got the banana nut bread which was buttery (pause) and pretty scrumptious - it’s the little things/dishes that make for great dining.

Hilltop Eagle Rock gets a solid 10/10 for us everytime. They’re always so patient with us and give us great service! The last time we were here we even barely walked in one hour before they closed and the food and drinks were still incredible. We couldn’t be anymore grateful for the incredible staff and the incredible atmosphere. Thank you so much!

I really love this coffee shop!!! As a coffee enthusiast who loves exploring new spots, I was so excited to discover this gem after moving back to the area where I was born and raised. It’s so amazing to see a place like this thriving in the neighborhood.
This shop stands out not just for fantastic coffee and food BUT also for its inclusivity and diversity. It’s a welcoming space where POCs feel embraced, and seeing the diversity in my own community makes me really happy. The fact that it’s a Black-owned, female-owned business also makes it even more special to support <3
A HUGE shoutout to Zahara and Ana, who go above and beyond to make everyone feel loved and welcome. They're super warm and friendly (while working their butts off). And they have made my visits enjoyable and helped me connect with locals in the area. I’ve started coming here daily—it’s THAT good!
The coffee is spot-on, the food is incredible, and ordering delivery like Postmates makes this place the perfect spot. It's truly a neighborhood gem, and I can’t recommend it enough! COME HERE!!!
