I just read that you are closing. My husband and I considered this a very special place, and we've enjoyed your place dozens of times. We've shared you with friends, and brought bread and cheese baskets and dessert strudel to birthdays. I am so sorry to hear you had to close and i hope i dont miss out hearing if you open another establishment!

Don't kill me for saying this but this folks wanted to get rich overnight by selling food at ridiculous price and catering to the "special" crowd. Food is decent but prices are royal. This gap actually didn't help them to survive. It's definitely not a neighborhood restaurant, atleast from the price point of view. It has a luxury dining pricing without the real luxury experience. I am very sad that someone's dream has fizzled away but it was an impossible dream to get richer overnight. I am not one of those people who can charge anything on CC to have a "experience" I don't deserve and clearly other co-citizens of Eagle Rock think the same manner. This is my own opinion. You may disagree and I respect that.

Tonight is the last night open. You will be missed hinterhof! I enjoyed your vegan delights and ambiance. The selection of German beers was always spot on and everyone was always so nice. COVID has been difficult on all businesses, especially restaurants, and I'm sad to see you go!

Finest place to grab some food when in a hurry. The service is rapid, rates are affordable, excellent character. Will come visit again

Wonderful place. Cannot wait for it to reopen. My favorite dishes were the potato pancakes and the enormous german pretzels. Friendly staff, efficient service, and they really were able to navigate outdoor social distancing responsibly. Also, they of course had really great beers and beverages too.

Absolutely love this place! Lots of authentic vegan German options you can't find anywhere else nearby! Great ambience and lots of seating indoor and out! Cute hangout or date night spot to grab a beer and som food.

I was apprehensive about German/Vegan cuisine, but after coming here I was sold. The ambiance is inviting and chill, love the outdoor patio. The waiters are professional and friendly, the beer selection/cocktail menu is great and the pretzels are... Let's just say we took some to go! The food selection is enough and variety of plates, I would not guess that it is all vegan, could barely tell the difference. Give this place a try!

We had an extraordinary experience in this place. We loved the superb environment and the food. The staff members are super personal. I’m content we eventually decided to try this place.

Man, I love this place so much. Having lived in Vienna, Austria and Lüneburg, Germany in childhood and early 20s, I can't believe how amazing vegan versions of authentic German dishes taste at Hinterhof (the Jägerschnitzel is my absolute favorite!). Add in a beautiful biergarten in the back, ample patio seating up front, genial service, and a delicious beer selection, Hinterhof is hard to beat. Mahlzeit, meine Freunden! I'll see you there!

First of all. I haven't even made it in the restaurant yet. It's 8:00 pm. The line is out the door. It makes me feel kind of sad for the other restaurants in this strip mall.

First off I'm not vegan but holy cow this place can turn anyone vegan the food is so darn good. The vegan cheese plate with pickled veggies, the beer and the Schnitzel were amazing. They have an amazing set up and I feel safe eating in there outside patio. The service is also terrific. They sanitize everything and keep everyone safe. Excited for when they open back up again!

This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a good meal, this restaurant comes straightaway to my mind. Great and all sorts of food and a rich cuisine.great staff members, and agreeable atmosphere. Not less important, the price is modest. I recommend this place with no hesitation.

I can’t even begin to explain how elated I am that a restaurant like this exists in my neighborhood. I’ve lived in and explored the greater-Los Angeles bar/restaurant scene my entire adult life and have never found a German biergarten quite this impressive since The Red Lion Tavern in Silverlake. The beer options are vast and served so fresh you can taste the crispness, and the vegan food options are a creatively delicious take on German staples. They have a wonderful ‘Happy Hour’ menu and the front patio has a lovely garden atmosphere within which to enjoy. But the area you really want to exist in is the renovated back patio wherein you can experience an authentic (albeit American-ified) biergarten vibe. The Covid era has been understandably tough on the business, so we are chomping at the bit for Hinterhof to reopen again. Prost!
