UPDATE 2025
If you order a special pie in advance ....let's say a your mother's favorite banberry pie with NSA, don't expect it to be there when you go at your allotted time to pick it up. Their policy, according to the manager, is that they will sell it to someone else if they are there before you. No apologies. You are simply out of luck.
I love the turkey meatloaf dinner. My friend got a hamburger that was kind of dry. Always leave with some fresh oatmeal cookies.

In my opinion, Polly's Pies is best breakfast spot in Long Beach.

For the 1st time in over 35 years, I ordered Thanksgiving dinner from 'outside'. So glad I did, food was good although the stuffing was kinda dry, they did forget to add the rolls and gravy to my order. I did enjoy the Maple Crunch pumpkin pie and the sliced ham, cranberry sauce was yummy!

The pies are always fantastic. Crazy busy for all of us that wait until the last minute.

Today, I ordered two cherry pie slices to go. A bearded, heavy-set man (I am assuming the head manager of the restaurant but no name) took my order, took my money, and then looked down at his phone, then walked away from me and disappeared into the back kitchen, totally ignoring me and not getting me my two pie slices! After a few minutes, a nice lady employee asked me, “Is he coming back?” I responded, “I hope so!” But he NEVER RETURNED! The lady employee took over this extremely rude, dismissive, and arrogant manager’s responsibility and got my two pie pieces. If this is how the manager treats his loyal customers, then he clearly doesn’t care about his loyal customers. I have patronized Polly’s Pies for decades, but I have never been insulted like this ever before and will NEVER eat at this Polly’s Pies ever again. Hurting the feelings of customers and callously dismissing their loyal customers is NOT what good business is all about. Rude and dismissive management towards customers can ruin this business.

I don't know if they were short staffed or what but the normal excellent service was nowhere to be found. The coffee, which I had to wait for, and when I asked for cream, took so long that my coffee was cold. They weren't busy. Never checked if I needed more coffee. The food I ordered was mediocre, the toast was almost burnt.
But the pies we ordered to go were delicious. I was looking forward to the food and service I normally get but sorely disappointed.

The service is good. Free parking. Indoor and outdoor seatings. The food is average diner food. Vegetarian options. It's a pie shop so they have a variety of pies on sale. The price is average.

Service is terrible. The wait is long and we are constantly ignored. Tried many times and the service continues to be the same. Shame because we love the food.
