This is an absolute gem of the restaurants. Everyone is so attentive but very polite and not overbearing. They churn their own butter, and it's delicious. The Cesar salad is outstanding, the dressing is perfectly zesty, and I loved how it's made with endive leaves. We also had a new fish dish and it was very tasty and very flavorful. We set outside and the evening was perfect for that. I can't wait to come back. We were celebrating our anniversary and Horses was a hit.

Worth a visit when in the Hollywood area. Old pub setting with excellent food menu and cool vibes.

Self-paid, honest review 🐎

Would totally go back JUST for the burger 🤤

✔ Burger ($30): Yes, $30 is steep, but honestly one of the best burgers in LA. Perfectly cooked medium, super juicy, soft fluffy bun, and that melted cheese just tied everything together. The fries? Extra crispy and addictive.
Secret tip: mix their house sauce + ketchup = game changer 🔥

✔ Off-menu pasta: Ask for it! Oven-baked with a golden, crispy top, soft and creamy inside with a subtle spicy kick that keeps you coming back for more. The toasted parmesan layer adds the perfect crunch with every bite. Absolutely worth it.

✔ Steak: Honestly... passable. The watercress on top had such a strong flavor it took over the whole dish. Should've gone for another burger instead 😂

Vibe: casual but classy! perfect for date nights or small gatherings. Pricey? A bit perhaps, but for LA standards, pretty fair.

Next time, I’m definitely trying their famous Caesar salad!

We went for the burger, and it was a huge disappointment. We had some great surprises along the way though. Their butter is just amazing. And I would come back for that alone. Dessert was pretty good as well. Staff was very friendly. Shame the burger wasn’t to our liking.

The food is unreal. I’m still thinking about how good the vodka pasta was and the cucumber mezcalita’s.

On arrival we were sat in the back room which was freezing and we asked our server if we could move tables. He was pretty unhelpful and colder than the room. However our server when we sat outside (which was warmer) was super nice.

Would return and highly recommend the food & drinks.

We came back for a second visit to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and everything was just as wonderful as before. Thank you especially for the thoughtful service toward our little one.

Great mezcal drink, nice atmosphere. Servers are very lax…. But the food, which we came for, was very tasty. Will return.

Our dining experience at Horses was outstanding! From start to finish, the vibe was immaculate, and the service was next level. Huge shoutout to Amanda, who truly set the tone for the evening—she was such a light! Loved the music along with the great wine selection. The manager took extra time to make sure we were happy with our selection. And the food? Chef’s kiss. The whole team here just gets it—great food, great atmosphere, and amazing people. Can’t wait to come back!

When mi hijo first came to stay with me in LA, he put Horses at the top of his list of places to go. Well, it’s taken us more than three years to get there, but darned was it worth the wait!

On the drive there, mi hijo, as he often does, did some research and read some really fun articles about Horses before we pulled up. And without a blink, both of us would say that the food and vibe here lives up to the hype.

The bread and butter are delicious. The Caesar, a staple for mi hijo and me, was perfection. The cheeseburger was one of the best in LA. Then we had the pasta a la Herman, and holy smokes that was good. We sopped up the sauce with the thin crisp French fries from the burger.

To top it off, I got mi hijo his tiramisu, his go-to dessert. The slightly salty hit with each bite along with an unexpected choco-crunch (kinda tasted like Oreo) made us want to lick the plate.

Loved our waitress. The vibe inside feels warm and fun and if this place has existed here forever. Loved it and next time mi hijo comes to visit, this will be our place to go.

PS: Ran into a huge handsome man who thought he knew me but I really wanted mi hijo meet him, so awkward and fun!

UPDATE: We have been back a few times and the food is still fantastic and the service better.

OLDER: Food was fantastic and lived up to our expectations, especially the Caesar. Unfortunately our server was inattentive and diminished the overall experience. One of our apps never arrived and we didn’t get our servers attention until after entrees came. By then, it had sold out and we didn’t have enough food for the evening. A disappointing experience as you want to enjoy not just great food but also a high level of service and ambience. We will come back but might just sit at the bar next time.
