Pizza was great, price was right. Shop is basic but I didn't come to stare at the walls.

The pizza was delicious and the workers were very kind and welcoming. I can't believe Vegan Pizza can be this good. ?

Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??‍♂️

Only giving it 4/5 because they decided to start selling meat and dairy products. Other than that, this place is awesome.Vegetarian options: Mostly vegan options!

I didn’t have a chance to visit while they were fully vegan, so when they made the switch, I knew I had to go show their Vegan Options some support.WHITE PIE ended up stealing the show and becoming one of my fave White Pizza in city. We opted to not get mushroom on it and the flavors reminded me of a fugazzeta pizza in Buenos Aires. Next time maybe extra onions. That Everything Bagel on the crust was special.VEGAN PEPPERONI & VEGAN RANCH are made in-house.The art and MF Doom looking over the place sets the vibes for this pizza joint.Visit your favorite vegan restaurant often, purchase the vegan options at non-vegan spots, because you never know when some of your favorite dishes might be gone. The food world is tough. In the kitchen or behind the camera, support those that don’t stop chasing their dreams.Happy Munchies,? #aVeganAndHer

Love this place! I try to stop in for a slice when I can, and then like to take a large pie home to freeze for later --- SOO much better than buying a frozen grocery store pizza. I love both the vegan and non vegan options. Service is always very friendly too. Very glad to have this small business in the area.

I wanted to love this place but it was a bit of a flop for me. I thought I heard it was all vegan but I was wrong. Which is fine but did give less options for the slices, which is what I came for since I was alone. I'm glad I checked because I almost got the pepperoni. Anyways, I got a Sicilian slice that was Detroit style. The crust was great and had the perfect crunch. The price was fair and the service was nice. However, the taste really fell flat for me. It just really seemed to lack flavor and wasn't super impressive. I've had a lot of vegan pizza and this one just didn't do it for me.

Had this on my watch list for a very long time. Could never pull the trigger. All glowing reviews mention how the pizzas are "vegan". Never any specifics on taste nor crust nor anchoring comparisons to nearby places etc/etc. R/R was not there to drop $100, inclusive of delivery fees just to be disappointed--especially as a reward on a restrictive diet. Until now.Detroit (Gluten Free Square) (not vegan)What I think: hot garbage. sparse cheese--paid for xtra to boot. saving grace is frico and decent char on curled pepperonis. like eating mushy cake. i wud feed dis to my dog if I didn't already eat the poor soul. kek, you know, since i'm an uncultured azn and not a virtuous vegan. 2/10What I say out loud: This was an innovative and creative take on an LA style Detroit Pizza. I could tell a lot of labor, love, and consideration went into the blend to develop this gluten free crust. Even a crumb structure was replicated, which must have been quite a feat given this was gluten free. I ordered a well done bake: this was (a little too) evident on the frico and the pepperonis, but the bottom of the crust had no color and was only "just" cooked through. Only the edges had some color, providing a slight crunch and decent chew--complications of the GF blend I'm sure. Still, despite the creativity and innovation, it is clear this is a (very) compromised pizza. I would rather the owner provide us a GlutenEase pill and let us see what an uncompromised LA style Detroit Pizza here looks like. Align your expectations accordingly if you order this pizza.18" Round and Thin (not vegan)What I think: decent chew, good bake. better den Prime Pizza. pepperonis fall short of Pizzanista. 8/10What I say out loud: For the NY style, I ordered a basic pepperoni to anchor my palate vs the competition. The crust had a great, satisfying chew, with an excellent cheese to sauce ratio. If they sourced better pepperonis, this would be one of the greats for sure. I am curious to try their White pizza for that Everything Bagel crust now.Rating for encouragement and to offset the vocal minority.

I feel like I've tried hundreds of pies and nothing compares to Hot Tongue. I have loved everything I've tried, but my personal favorites are the Buffalo and Arrabbiata. We recently tried the vodka rigatoni (incredible) and now we can't visit without adding it to our meal. We travel from San Diego for this spot and it's always worth the drive! Alex is great and we enjoy listening to his Pie 2 Pie podcast. Also their social media content is hilarious.

Pizza makers that take it seriously!Their pizza is really good and the service is always super friendly. Vegan or not, these folks consistently make a damn fine pizza.

I'm going to keep this short, as this place is a must. This was the best Vegan pizza I've ever had and it was incredibly fresh, even for ordering all slices. I love that they don't use fake cheeses and after over a decade Vegan, this was such a treat. The staff were friendly, informative and it's a cute little classic pizza joint. I will be back a 100 more times if I can, absolutely satisfying! Thank you for existing.
