Kung pao tasted like rubber. They're clearly cutting corners and not using fresh ingredients. Won't be coming back

Been their royal customer for over 20 years. Kung pao chicken is by far the best dish, imo. It is so good, I beg my daughter to buy and pack it in her suitcase to bring to

OMG! Horrible place. I placed a pick up order. Ordered rice but got noodles. Ordered chicken and got beef. And I don't do beef at all. Then the noodles had the plastic cover of the top of a bottle in it! Like the at white plastic film on top of any bottle. That was in the noodles. When I called the place later to talk to them about the wrong order , the attitude of the owner was horrible. Never going back to this place, even though now I have a credit sitting with them. Above all the food tastes HORRIBLE! Horrible being an under statement.

My favorite Chinese in all of LA for over 25 years…don’t like the decor much so we pick up or have delivered often…the owners are a great family too and always show us they appreciate us being

Wow! What happened to this place? There's zero ambience, but one knows that going in. Hu's could be counted on for good Chinese food. That's not the case any more. The egg rolls seem hastily prepared with partially chopped contents. Fried rice? Don't bother. Plenty of it, but no flavor. We had a shrimp a shrimp dish which was good, but certainly unremarkable. Hu's must be 1) under new management. 2) They sold the business to a non-Asian buyer and kept the recipes. It's disappointing to see a well established, local business in its current trajectory.

Wednesday is the only day you can dine inside the restaurant for dinner now, and you need to call to make reservations, according to the staff. Otherwise it’s take out only. The food was simply ok, decent, not outstanding, but we didn’t try the green beans, or other dishes they seem to be famous for, and got nothing spicy. The hot sour soup was neither, not spicy nor sour. But it was warm and filling. Didn’t see any chili oil to add to food. Not sure if we will try them again.Very chilly inside, not wasting $ on heat for one day. It’s their business and they’re running around so it makes sense.

Currently this business is mostly for takeout only; open Wednesday nights only for dine in, reservations necessary. Server/ owners are gracious and helpful. I was a bit disappointed in the hot sour soup, it was warm but not spicy, nor sour, but tasty. Food was good, and ample. It was quite chilly inside, saving the heat because they are only open that one night for service. Makes complete sense. Small table area, so take out also makes most sense.

A great restaurant for the best authentic Chinese food. My favorite restaurant in the LA area. The customer service is always excellent ! I love the everything on the menu so many options. If you are in the area give them an opportunity and it will change your mind.

RIP Hu's.We have frequent this restaurant for over 40 years , Kung Pao chicken was their signature dish, large pieces of white meat chicken with a light spicy sweet sauce. Tonight was our first visit since Covid , sadly the Kung Pao chicken was a shadow of its former self All good things must come to an end

Change name: Hu's TAKE OUT ONLY Chinese Food. Why? Nice storefront. Plenty of tables. 2 front of room staff (obviously some cooks). No dine in. Again, business is business and I am not judging(cause we didn't eat there or away from there), just tell people on Yelp or wherever. NO DINE IN. THANKS. :)

Yeah, I’m done, too. As recently as a couple years ago, this place was expensive but serviceable. Now? The prices are laughable, even for westside standards. The food is fine, but not remotely close to worth what they’re charging.

The food is bad. Green beans are soaked with oil and greasy..Not crunchy anymore..They don't want to hire a waiter or waitress. All they want to do is TAKE OUT. Cause the new white guy thinks he knows Asian food, he is in charge there now. WHAT a disappointment after 30 years being a customer.
