Considering IHOP is trying to deliver good food and service, the IHOP close to La Brea Pits didn't do justice to the company. I asked for an economical service and the waitress didn't warn me that if I wanted hashbrowns added to the order the price would shoot higher. Then, the hashbrowns were overcooked with rancid oil and hard on the outside. I not only spent more than I planned, but was given low quality food. The eggs were good, but also the pancakes were tasteless. I think that the waitress that serviced me should be let go for tricking the client so she could get a higher tip. And the cook, needs to learn to not compromise with quality when it comes to representing the company. I have eaten in other IHOPs and this didn't happen. It was specifically in that one. I left sad and I hope the company does better training so their employees don't let them down. They should research how the House of Pies and Dennis have existed for a long time and they always deliver what they promise. I have only good things to say about them. Prices are comparable also. For me, even if I have to pay more, it is ok, but the food quality must be senior to the cost.

The service isnt always up to par. You're lucky when you get a server that's been there for years. Ive had good experiences and really bad ones. Like, food taken away while I take my kids to the restroom, or having no refills offered on drinks, waiters forgetting items we've order... there's a long list. But when the service is good, its superb.

Me and my family came to eat at this ihop and i had a bad experience with the waiter here first name Jose and we were gonna order milkshakes and he told us that they were out of shakes and we said okay and then he proceeded to say that he didn’t feel like making so much shakes lying to us about being out of shakes, and then we ask what was the truth and he told us that he didn’t feel like making the shakes bc then he’d have to clean the blender and he was to tired for that

Whenever we are even close to Downtown LA and staying in a hotel for a night or more, we have IHop delivered. It is just the best.
We have eaten at this one more than once and it is clean, the service just great and the whole place is very comfortable. The servers are always nice.
This time we had it delivered and it was, as always so good. They pack it all in such a way there is no way it can get ruined or food mixed with other food. The delivery is fast and I have never had an issue, not once.
This time we had burgers, which were so good with bacon and cheese. My grandson had a grilled cheese sandwich with French fries and he loved it. I am the huge pancake lover in the family so I had their big breakfast that comes with the best, most fluffy and perfect pancakes along with hash browns and bacon, ham and sausage. It was all great and I saved the meat for our dogs who were waiting for us to get home (we were at a hotel nearby).
It is just the best and the prices are so fair. You will pay much more for some fancy place, but their pancakes won't be as good.
