Best Pupusa spot in Hollywood, All their menu is delicious, their fried elote tamales were the best and their breakfast plates amazing. I miss this spot I hope everything is going well and they recover their loss, will definitely be looking once they reopen ??❤️

Their pupusas are my favorite comfort foodSo sadden that they’ve been closed down for the past couple of months I can’t wait till they re open again. praying y’all recover from the fire damages it’s almost been a year ??

Humble places can often equal the best food.For example, a now defunct pupuseria that was in a strip mall on Santa Monica and Vine. Only people that have lived in places like Latin America understand that a dilapidated facade does not equal poor food hygiene. The most humble places are often as clean as your mother's kitchen, because guess what?, your mother cares about you and so do most of these places! Tragically, this pupuseria was pushed out by the evil Starchuxxx which typically gentrifies many neighborhoods that do not want this unwelcome guest. I stopped going to Starchuxxx because of just this!Over the top overhead looks great, but often the food/product is not so great, because so much is spent on overhead that the money spent on the best ingredients is compromised. Starchuxxx coffee is cruddy for a reason - more smoke, mirrors and filler than quality...Anyway Ilobasqueno serves super delicious pupusas and with excellent curtido. Most of the time, one of the two is off at other places. You get no frills, but you get the feel for Latin American life, which I truly miss. Most of our countries share a true love for life, family, culture and being together at the table that you can only feel through understanding that for now we have to wait for our day to come as a region. Things like gentrification may make things harder for us but we never give up because our culture is all about working harder and harder. Gratitude is what keeps us afloat, laughing and smiling regardless of all the injustice that has brought us down since 1492.... You get the positive vibes off of people without pretensions and that don't size you up as you walk in. I enjoyed my experiences here.Recently, I met the daughter of the owners and she really is a savvy person when it comes to food, ingredients and restaurants. There is only one other pupseria that competes with them in my neighborhood. Ilobasqueno has the advantage of a more homey and down to earth Latin American vibe....

Ordered online cheese and cheese/spinach pupusas with horchata. Perfect food and drink for a hot day. When I picked them up they were hot and came with pickled cabbage and salsa. Combined together with the cheese makes you want to have more. Ilobasqueño is my place for pupusas! Family owned and excellent customer service. When I arrived I was greeted by an employee and had my food packed safely for take out.

Delicious pupusa’s. The yucca fries with pork could have been fried a little less— the meat got pretty dried out. Would definitely come back again.

Más de 2 horas para q me trajeran una orden y todavía son unas groserías las q trabajan ahí y el estupido del driver peor en varias ocasiones mi orden la traían mal y hasta incompleta y aún así les seguía comprando gracias a nosotros los clientes es q tienen trabajo nunca más pediré en este lugar

The order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes, it took them one hour and no apologies what so ever. Instead the young lady was arrogant about it.

Great people Luis and his wife are amazing everyone working there is great their food is delicious.

This is the Best place to have Authentic Salvadorean Cuisine. I been coming here since childhood, and I still can't get enough of how the love that goes in the making of this food with such welcoming and warmth as you are greeted.The Delicious taste of the PUPUSAS yumm and the fresh tropical drinks. Great tacos !! The tortilla are super soft and comes with a lot meal. I'll for sure be coming back soon

Delicious sushi. Bit pricey. But still the best omakase so far that I've tried.It is hard to find a good parking spot over there. Really really fresh sashimi. Their grilled and baked stuff are awesome. I did the Omakase and I was so happy.
