One of the best fried fish ever

They have renovated the entire building.(this photo is an older one) This is the best fish place in LA.

They sniffed my old lady and asked how much

First time here and i will say they give the HEALTHIEST fillet portions I’ve seen in a looong time! BUT if you don’t order jumbo shrimp you’ll be pissed off. The regular shrimp are so tiny.

Overall everything was seasoned well. Fried to perfection and my catfish was so juicy. I didn’t care for the fries but that’s just me I’m not a fry person.

Hush puppies were good. Bread nice and soft! And the tartar sauce is definitely home made.

Don’t forget to ask for extra hot sauce (THEY WILL ONLY GIVE YOU 1) and if you hate pickles (like me) don’t forget to tell them you don’t want them.

4 stars is for the small shrimp, pickles, and the 1 piece of a piece of a PIECE of lemon they gave me lol

But i would recommend and be back.

They gave us a little attitude asking for extra Ketchup and tarter sauce. But overall food was fire, best so far!

This place changed ownership. Now the fish is almost $20/lb. I skipped it. I went to Super Fish instead. There is nothing superior about the fish here, so the drastic increase in price is not justified.
