The place doesn't have even remotely fresh food. They try to masquerade the lack of freshness by a lot of spices. Doesn't help. And they dare to ask tips for this at the counter. Avoid this place for the betterment of the society.

I’ve been going here for ten years, although the sauces has gotten a bit more thinner it’s okay with me in terms of taste. And I’m glad the rude Latina girl in the front is not there anymore because of her rude remarks and attitude I stopped going for a year but now I see better company has taken over-much nicer now. Good food and good vibes and good prices. Cant complain
Nice and big outlet, you can find many brands

Used to be my go to Indian lunch in Dtla but the quality has really gone downhill. The tofu tikka masala and daal have lost some of its aromatic flavor. However, the saag paneer and the garlic naan are still very good.

This food was so bland and watery it was honestly inedible. Their food used to be good for the price a few years ago, so thought I'd try again but............. it was so bad I'm writing my first Google review ever lol
I couldn't finish it
Got the chicken curry and saag paneer

If you want the most overcooked tandoori chicken you’ve ever tasted (thought my plastic knife was going to break at one point) and watery/bland curry, come to Indus by Saffron. The rice was ok I guess…?
This is a simple food court takeout but the lamb curry and chana masala had heaps of flavour. The lamb was medium hot but just right. We are tourists and wanted a change from hotel food. We will be back before we leave.
Excellent !!

Restaurantji Recommends
Tried this place for the first time when visiting downtown. I had the plate with lamb curry and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The food was really fresh and delicious with a nice blend of flavor. The spice level was just right. A little heat but not so much it destroys the flavor. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely return when in the area next. I highly recommend!
Horrible place, Horrible people, nasty and disgusting, Horrible customer service, waste of money and time, avoid this place.

I went to order my food there and asked the server if the chicken is halal. He said it is. I asked him again, if he is 100 percent sure. He said yes. So I ordered chicken burrito. I went the next day and just to be sure, I asked the lady at the counter if the chicken is halal. She said no.
I am really gutted that the guy lied to me and made me eat something against my religious beliefs.
I would not recommend this place.

It's not worth it, it's always closed!
Now it's 3-1/2 in the afternoon and they no longer have service.
They should be more savvy.
And close at least 4pm thanks
I stopped for the first time today, 6/3/23, at the Indus on Figueroa and 7th to order something to take to my hotel in Downtown LA. The food is very healthy and tasty and the young lady at the register was very nice and friendly.
