Italy's Little Kitchen, located near LAX, is a cozy restaurant that offers delicious Italian dishes. The prosciutto and fig jam appetizer is a popular choice, though recent reviews mention that the prices have increased and the portion sizes have decreased. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even when customers have difficulty with pronunciation.
The restaurant has a small, warm atmosphere, but it can get loud when half full. The Italian dishes are well-made, with the cream sauce being a standout. The salads are fresh, and the portions are generous enough to share. Recommended dishes include the California Pasta or Pomodoro Basilico with angel hair, and the frutti di mare, which features a flavorful sauce that highlights the freshness of the seafood.
Recent reviews highlight that the marinara sauce is perfect, with a good balance of freshness and umami, and basil tones blending well. The bread is freshly baked and very good, often served with extra. The spaghettini with meatballs and frutti di mare are praised for their big servings. The minestrone soup is also highly recommended. The music, featuring soft Italian classics, adds a warm, relaxed vibe to the atmosphere. Service remains fast, even when the restaurant is busy.
Parking can be challenging, and the entrance and seating arrangements might not suit large groups. The restaurant can be noisy, making conversations a bit difficult. Despite these minor issues, Italy's Little Kitchen remains a great option for those seeking tasty Italian food near LAX.
