Fantastic food. Great service. We were there on a Saturday night and food took a little while to come out. But worth it. Quite a sneakily loud dining room, be prepared to shout at your dinner mate.

The service is good and the staff is friendly, but food has been hit and miss for my last several visits. I have been dining at Jar for years and the food has always been very consistent but that has not been the case lately. Meat has come out at temperatures different form my order and the quality varies.

“Jar” seems to cater to a 18-28 crowd. The noise level was horrifically loud. We were four people at a rectangular table against a wall and we practically had to yell to be heard. The steak entrees were excellent, tender and tasty. (But all of us had to send them back to the kitchen— we ordered medium rare & medium — because they all were cooked rare.) The “sides” were good but practically all carbohydrates; out of ten options, seven were carbs. The bread was dry...
