The main reason to go to this restaurant is the excellent service. So many people attend you, make sure you have what you need, are warm and welcoming and go out of their way to make you happy. It’s a very big restaurant but still feels comfortable. Food is solid. Very popular on the weekends.

Beautiful high arches.
I’m used to going to the Javier’s in Irvine and Newport, never had the pleasure of coming to the one in Los Angeles and let me tell you it’s beautiful. This location focuses on High Arches inside of the “ rope” decoration.

Food was delicious as always.

If you’re into cocktails do yourself a favor and try the guava margarita or guava martini. They are so yummy.

Oh. My. Gosh. Let me tell you right now: Javier’s is on a completely different level. I’m still thinking about that meal like I just fell in love for the first time.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere just hit me — warm, vibrant, elegant but still comfortable. You know that feeling when you step somewhere and instantly think, “Oh yeah… this is going to be good”? That was Javier’s before I even sat down.

And the food? Blew my socks off, launched them into orbit, and they still haven’t come back down. The flavors were unreal — bold, layered, authentic, and just beautifully executed. The chips? Fresh and warm. The salsa? I swear it had magical properties. And the entrée… I don’t know what they put in those spices, but I’m convinced the chef made a deal with flavor gods.

The presentation alone made me pause to admire it like it belonged in an art gallery. One bite and I was done — hooked, obsessed, ready to come back tomorrow. And the staff? Incredible. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience.

Javier’s didn’t just serve a meal — it served a moment. You don’t just eat there, you remember it. I walked out smiling, satisfied, and already planning who I’m bringing with me next time. This place is the real deal.

My girls and I visited the DTLA Javiers for the first time. It was such a beautiful place. The ambience is a vibe and the decor is gorgeous and posh! The food was excellent as always.
We've been to the Irvine and Newport locations.
Great job DTLA Javiers!

I thought most Mexican food cannot be elevated, but I was wrong! The three enchilada dish was amazing. Skip the basic steak and pick a real Mexican to enjoy.
The only bad thing I can say about this place with the service. Three people did not get their entrées because somehow it was given to another table or forgotten. Nothing was offered to makeup for the lost time. One guest decided not to eat at all so we can move on to our next event.

Beautify restaurant. The ambiance was also impressive and loved the service. We showed up before the rush on a Friday and couldn’t be any more happier. I’ll definitely be going back.

If there’s anything to criticize is the parking lot. It’s a hassle unless you pay for valet. Everything else I loved.

I’ve been to Javiers in La Jolla, Newport Beach and now downtown LA. If I had to rate them, downtown LA is definitely my top choice so far.

Had a great experience food was good but service and atmosphere were over the top. They are well-staffed. Ivan was very friendly and helpful. He boxed our food at the end of the night and was wonderful!

Best Mexican food I’ve had in my short time in LA. Meat is cooked just right - juicy and flavorful. Had the Fajita and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The service was amazing and Javier’s food was always the best. The only thing was the noise level. The sound of people was loud. Overall experience was amazing.

The salad I had was nothing special and it was $36. And, the parking was $25. Not good enough to return. Restaurant was beautiful!

Delicious lobster enchiladas for 44dollars for 2 enchiladas and the beans and rice are separate. Parking valet is 25 dollars with a stamped ticket. Otherwise you self park for 20 dollars next store.

Really crowded and the servers were still on point. A few menu items missing from other locations but still has the great Javiers taste. Happy to have a location closer to my home and office
