Extremely disappointing food. We were so looking forward to this restaurant that we have heard is one of the best Thai restaurants in LA.. and maybe our expectations were very high but I wouldn’t even call the food mediocre. Jitlada isn't too bad, been around for years. I got the pad thai and ordered extra spicy but it wasn't spicy.. Was kinda disappointed. I asked them about why it's not spicy and they just told me to add more chili powder/flakes. Those aren't spicy and just have a bitter end taste.
Pad see ew is ok too. If you're in the area, it's worth trying but not if you have to drive over 15 minutes.

There are no words in the English dictionary that quite capture my enthusiasm for this restaurant and the food that they serve. Every bite is the best bite. I am forced to clear my plate past the point of being full because it would be a sin to leave the incredible flavors behind. The crispy morning glory salad is the most perfect bite. The cow man kai rice dish looks like nothing special, but the flavors in the broth are so beautiful and complex that it may be my new favorite...
