As someone who does spicy well, would say that level 1 for both jjambbong and jjajangmyun was enjoyable and pleasant eating experience. I think level 2 starts to get intense. I would come back again

🚨 New in Koreatown! 🚨
Say hello to Jjamppong Zizon (짬뽕 지존 LA), the hottest import straight from South Korea with over 100 locations—and now one right here in LA! 🔥
🌶 Spice Level Goals: From a mild 30% heat to a fiery 100%, there’s a level for everyone. Not into spice? No problem—they’ve got non-spicy options too! Pro tip: their proprietary red pepper flakes (brought directly from Korea) are at every table, so you can customize the heat to your liking.
🍜 What We Tried:
• Jjamppong (spicy seafood soup): Choose noodles, rice, sujebi (hand-pulled dough), or tofu! I went for tofu, and let me tell you—the velvety texture with the seafood broth is chef’s kiss.
• Jjajjangmyun (black bean noodles): Perfectly chewy noodles coated in a light, savory sauce. Add a sprinkle of those red pepper flakes for a flavor upgrade.
• Tang Siu Yuk (sweet & sour pork): Delicate batter, bold pineapple-sweet sauce, and juicy pork. A must-try!
• Fried Dumplings: Crispy perfection. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for an unforgettable dipping sauce.
• Shrimp Fried Rice Combo: Comes with a bowl of jjamppong soup and jjajjangmyun sauce—because why choose when you can have both?
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Jjamppong Zizon redefines Korean-style Chinese food with dishes that are light, clean, and full of flavor. No food coma, just satisfaction.
📣 Pro Tips:
✔️ They validate parking! 🅿️
✔️ Hair ties at every table = no distractions between you and your food.
I love both jjajiangmyeon and jjampong, so the fact that this place has an entree that combines both is absolutely perfect. The black bean sauce is the perfect blend of sweet and savory and the noodles are chewy. 10/10 would come back multiple times.

Jjamppong Zizon is a chain restaurant originates from Korea where it has over 100 locations. Both Korean-Chinese dishes are delicious and super popular, so I had both in a adorable yin and yang shaped bowl! You can adjust eat it mild or super spicy 🌶️ Our appetizers were delicious as well and everything was super filling for our group of 4. Service was great and it was easy to find street parking early afternoon on a Saturday. Be sure to check them out if you also never tried these delectable fusion dishes!

Amazing restaurant. Looks cool and modern inside. Incredibly good food. Great service. Exciting part of town with ambiance that spills in from the street.
Few restaurants have impressed me like this one ever. It’s in a really cool location in the bustling heart of Koreatown near my apartment. I love this part of town so much!
The black bean sauce noodles are amazing. The noodles are perfect as is the black bean sauce. Our server made sure we prepared our food right. It shows they care that you enjoy your food. We had something I’ve never tried or seen elsewhere. Rice battered pork! So incredibly delicious!. It came with a sweet sauce. Delicious. You also get some pickled daikon radish slices.
The restaurant has very limited meter parking in front. Almost impossible to find a spot. However, there’s a parking structure behind the restaurant with an entrance on Mariposa. There’s more meter parking in that area which is plentiful but almost always all taken.

The Jjamppong was delicious. It wasn't spicy or salty and I enjoyed it. Instead, the Jjajangmyeon was sweet and watery. It was disappointing, but the price was reasonable and the sweet and sour pork was also good.

The food is delicious, and it is a good service, found it odd that they use water bottles instead of the traditional korean water pint and cups. Also, the price is a bit out there, but it definitely tastes better compared to other restaurants that serve the same dishes

I really liked the noodles because they were Korean-style noodles.
I ate Hell Jjamppong at level 2 spiciness.
I really liked the clean spicy flavor that relieved my stress.

We went there on Sunday night and the place was about half full. The eating area and bathrooms are very clean, the staff fast and attentive. We got a spicy seafood rice soup, noodles in black sauce and the dumplings. We ordered the soup at base level spicy and it was plenty spicy (probably match with regular American hot), the noodles were not spicy, so spice-wimps like me can eat here too :) . The food tasted great and the portions were large. The atmosphere is light, the music not too loud, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
Expensive and small portion ☹️

This is one of my favorite places because the jjambbong is so good. I usually dine in, but this time I ordered togo, and they forgot the sweet and sour pork sauce. I called them, and they not only brought the sauce but also gave me extra sweet and sour pork as a courtesy. This is what true service looks like! The food and service are excellent :)
