I was excited to stop in, browse and order food to go. Unfortunately, the tuna melt didn't meet my expectations. The tuna was a bit fishy, but the bread was tasty. The cucumber salad was good. I will give Joan's another try when in the area.
No cash accepted, everything was ok, nothing was great, except for the hash browns. Chicken was cold and dry, tuna salad sw was average at best, Mac and cheese was also dry and quite plain. Used to be an institution now's just an average "gourmet" sandwich shop. The service was amazing though.
We are in town to go to Universal, and staying at the Garland Hotel. We ordered this food via DoorDash. We put allergy alert in the notes and I immediately got a call with them telling me the item we ordered had our allergen. They quickly worked with us to figure out an alternative way to prepare the meal. Our food delivered quickly and OMG. Best food we’ve had since we arrived.
