Dang it. Last time I was at Joan’s it was experiencing the LA hotspot attitude virus. You know, firmly founded in a long enough history to claim “LA hot spot” or “local favorite “ but both are only true in theory. If you’re a local and have been eating there since it was one third the size it is today, you know that the quality of food has gone downhill. It was homey, like meals your favorite auntie cooked on holidays. Now it’s more Norms but with French food, maybe...
meeting friends for lunch and coffee -This place makes me happy! All the staff are so warm, nice and helpful.

Just stopped by after a visit two years ago. It still has a good environment with a white tone, clean, and friendly staff. The food is excellent, especially the Short Rib sandwich and the variety of salads.
