This is my favorite bakery for special occasions!!! Got married during the pandemic and ordered an individual wedding cake - white cake with passionfruit mousse and buttercream frosting just for us that was absolutely fabulous! We then ordered an assortment of lemon/buttercream and chocolate/chocolate individually wrapped cupcakes and large ding dongs for everyone else (the cake we ate later). Everything was amazing and our small group of guests loved it!! The ding dongs we so fantastic that we've now made it a tradition to order 2 large dings dongs every year to celebrate our anniversary. We've also enjoyed them for recent birthdays as well. I highly recommend them and this bakery overall. Joanie and Leigh are both really great, and I enjoy trying new things every time I stop by.

My 40th birthday was last week and I went with a Raggaeton theme. My friend gifted me a cake from Joanie & Leigh's and I must tell you that I'm Hooke for life! When my cake was delivered and I saw it, I cried of happiness! It was way better than anything I had expected! Thank you for making the most beautiful and delicious cake! Cori ( 5 star reviewer from Feb 2021), I absolutely concur!! The BEST cake place in the western USA. I have been fortunate and blessed to know, admire, respect and love these two stellar and superstar ladies and trailblazers and their amazing work for over 16 years. Their original wedding cake designs, over the top artwork, and one of a kind, unique and gorgeous desserts have a following( I am one of the millions of fans) from the Caribbean to Florida to Las Vegas then Palm Springs and of course all of the Sunshine and Golden State. They did a birthday cake for me in Chocolate Ganache that had me doing the late great Prince's and the Family's " Screams of Passion" as in 110 decibel chocolate ecstasy that were definitely heard in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Joanie lovingly created a very sweet box of desserts and treats for my daughter in law when my first grand daughter was born in Santa Monica in 2006; geared towards her specific favs and likes. My buddy's groom's cake done by Joanie was a replica of Fenway Park( yes that Baistahd is a Bosox fan) that had the entire wedding party stop in their tracks. He would not cut it. Preserved with the anniversary topper. The cupcakes they did for my coworkers when I was in LA were gone in 59 seconds!!!!! I happened to be at their previous bakery and kitchen in Culver City at an appointment with the very sharp and kind Leigh when they were working on making a massive modern living room of cake, just cake and transporting it via a/c vans to a hotel in Las Vegas. I believe it was a smashing hit, no pun intended!!!! Lucky, lucky us and all of Bel Air and LA- they opened a retail bakery where one can walk in from Monday to Saturday and enjoy their croissants, breads , brownies and other delicious treats plus good ol' Haagen Daz ice cream. They are up in Bel Air on Roscomare Rd about 3 minutes south of Mulholland and 6 or so minutes north of Sunset ( hey NYC driving time reference). Can't wait to get back and feel, taste and enjoy the love and these bakery fresh, bakery style beautiful goodies and the next family birthday( coming up in June) so we can get the gorgeous cake again. Thank you Joanie and Leigh for bringing so much love, joy and happiness to our family and millions of other raving fans. We love you!!
