It tastes healthy for a la la la. But in general, the food is salty. The impact of signature salads and meatballs is strong. The atmosphere is the best.

Have eaten at J&V ~30 times for both dine in and take out. Food is really great and they have a fully differentiated quality va anything nearby. To enjoy the food you need to tolerate some of the worst service I have ever encountered in the food industry. Wait times for food are invariably long. Checks and orders are frequently incorrect. Takeout orders are often ready 30+ minutes after the scheduled time. Worth a visit if you are able to chill and not worry about service worse than McDonald’s.

It's a shame that the food is pretty good because this place has the worst service. It does the hard working kitchen crew a disservice to have such a crummy front of the house operation. No uniform or dress code so you're not even sure who's working there. J&Vs tshirts are too hard to impose on staff? That house salad has a hold on me and I keep subjecting myself to this.

The food is mediocre at best. The service was horrendous, no waiter checking up, no water refills, 5-10minute wait between times of requesting some wine, new cutlery, and the bill. It was all off. Horrible experience. It felt like one of those spots that famous just because it’s supposed to be “famous and well known”. Do not waste your time, it is not a good spot. I repeat, do not buy into the hype, it deserves no hype and needs a massive culture and staff revamp.

Very bad service and food delivery time was too spaced out

The food here is definitely excellent. However, the portions have gotten really small. You don't get your money's worth in my opinion but if you know this ahead of time, you won't be disappointed. Also, this is the first place I've been to that charges $2.50 for parmesan cheese. I've never been to a restaurant that charges for parmesan cheese. They do tell you this up front. While irritated about it, I had no problem with it however, they never ended up bringing it and still charged us. Definitely check your bill as others here have mentioned.
