Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere.

Joy, a well-known LA restaurant, offers delicious food with standouts like dan dan noodles, mapo, and pork belly, along with excellent savory dan bing and boba. While some may find the food slightly salty, it remains a popular choice. The eatery has a bustling atmosphere, with takeout being a common option. The modern design features warm wood tones, and the place fills up quick around lunchtime. Prices have risen slightly over time, but Joy remains a must-visit in Northeast LA, with fresh-made soy milk daily and crispy scallion pancake wraps. Despite the altered pickup experience due to COVID-19, the beef noodle soup and dan dan noodles keep customers coming back.
