The chicken is big...
Generally not used in Korea
It's size. I was embarrassed at first
It was unfamiliar that only the legs and wings were used, but
It was my favorite part, so I actually liked it.
(Perhaps the boss
Feel free. I want to serve you generously and generously.
It was the size and configuration that I chose.
I think about it...)
Because the meat is large and the skin is thick...
It would have been impossible for the seasoning to soak in well in a short period of time.
I see it.. I can feel the smell of chicken..
ㅠㅠ
I made a meal with the cabbage kimchi you sent.
The next day, just in case, I peeled off the skin, added red pepper powder, and made a slit in the flesh so that the seasoning could penetrate well.
I tried boiling it again,,
Even though no other seasoning was added
Oh my gosh, I enjoyed the delicious chicken stir-fry stew.
Chicken has a strong meaty flavor.
It was meat with a good chew.
There are a lot of restaurants and if you don’t like that place,
It's okay if you don't go..
The home-cooked meal prepared by the owner
With love for each and every ingredient,
I feel like you cook with sincerity.
I wanted to tell you that I was grateful and had a good meal.
Be better and stay strong
Cheers, I'm leaving a review. ^^

Reviews are true. This place is so good—I like the Black Cod here more than any other place I’ve gone to.

I submitted chicken stew, but it smells so fishy that I’m angry.
I was hungry, but I ate it and threw it away.
If your name is Power Chicken, you probably named it because you are confident in making chicken dishes, but this is your first time having chicken doritang with such a fishy smell.
And how do you get 4 chicken wings? There is no standard for one or half chicken, just 2 chicken legs, 4 chicken wings, and 2 pieces of lean meat. This is the end.
What if I just use a big, good to-go box? The contents are poor.
Don't just give side dishes.
It's not delicious

It's strictly take out except for one table. They have only four items on the menu. Four incredible dishes. Big portions, family style. The owners are incredibly friendly.

Had one of the best meals of my life here. Amazing Korean food that feels like the most exceptional home cooking. Ran by the Chef Jeff and his mother with limited staff this is normally a to-go only spot and there’s only one table for reservation. We were lucky enough to sneak in between reservations and got to sit down and enjoy our meal. Chef Jeff treated us beyond kindly, making us feel at home and we shared a great conversation. The food is on another level, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and I respect Jeff’s values towards his sourcing and methods of preparing his ingredients to ensure the highest quality. I have never had a meal quite like this one. Thank you!!!

Jun Won Dak is a must try if you’re in the Ktown area. The price is incredibly reasonable for the portions you get and the food will certainly make you come back for more. I live in another state but whenever I come back to LA to visit family, my first stop is always Jun Won Dak. I highly recommend the Eun-Daegu and the Galbijjim. You can taste the passion and care that the owners put into their dishes.

Huge, tasty portions! Bring boxes to take food home. We ordered both the chicken ginseng soup and spicy chicken stew, so were surprised to get the chicken soup in two separate bowls as if we ordered two of them, with a whole chicken in each! Then we also got a giant platter of spicy chicken stew with the largest cuts of chicken I've seen, most of which took home for another meal. Owner was so nice, checking up on us and chatting. All the meat comes from a local butcher, so they can get the best cuts and specify no breast meat for the stew. Will be going back to try their two seafood dishes ?

Jonathan Gold recommended place for the soy-braised black cod dish ($40, not cheap but well made, good portion). Fed 2 ladies and my 2 toddlers who ate a ton. Even tho it was a tad spicy for them but they loved it! Samgyetang broth served with dine in only, but the place specializes in to-go with 4 items on their menu. They have a 2 top table in the front, and a 4-top in the space next to the kitchen, behind the cash register. So it was like a chef’s table experience with the main cook and her son, a la Buca di Beppo Chef’s Table! So great chatting with them about the history and evolution of their restaurant since the pandemic. I want to try their galbi-jjim next, I saw it and it looks like it feeds 3 adults. The Samgyetang broth was amazing, I will get that next time I need some major nutrients because it has wood ginseng and lots of minerals. (Feeds like 1 hungry person). You could call ahead to reserve the 4-top chefs table. Or the 2-top.

Craving black cod (Eun-Daegu), we found Jun Won Dak via Google. This tiny Mom & Son storefront on 3rd St specializes in just four perfected dishes, honed over decades at their pre-pandemic restaurant. Our cod was delicious: super tender, a large portion, perfect for sharing. A unique spot with a storied past -- not to be missed!

The samgyetang here is much tastier than most I had in Korea. The ingredients looked fresh and the side dishes were of high quality. I live in another state, but I would definitely come back to eat here again. And the owner was very kind.
