Always love a place with a few items that are done really well. Tried the Samgyetang and GalbiJim, both were phenomenal. Hands down the best galbijim levels above Seoungbukdong and the portions are way larger. Great Banchan too.

I am so happy to have found a real, authentic Korean soul food place near home. If you like a bit of sweet, umami, soy-sauce, chilli flake flavor, you MUST try here. Thank me later.Last year my husband and I tried the galbi-jjim and was pleasantly surprised with how much passion and soul was put into that single dish. Almost exactly the way that my grandmother would make it. They use only the freshest ingredients, and absolutely no "old" taste. Galbi-jjim was sweet, salty, and nice subtle kick to it.Today we tried the eundaegu, which is fish. Ohh my goodness. Just like last year, the ingredients are SO fresh! The fish, which normally in restaraunts are a bit old, a bit chewy, some even foul smelling, but here, the fish was cooked to perfection. So soft, no fishy smell, and you can slither(?) the fish meat right off the bone. It was amazing. Then once you get to the cooked radish? Wow. I asked for a to-go box to take home little of what was left of the radish because I wanted to eat it again when I get home.Must try.The owners and the chef are extremely sweet and caring. It's hard to find restaraunts with passion, but this is one of them. The way the owner was laughing and helping the kitchen crew, you can tell the workplace was healthy and nice. Will probably go back again in a few weeks :)

I am quite picky about food, but the samgyetang here satisfied me enough. It was my first time trying samgyetang here today, and it was savory with tender chicken meat. The jujube, ginseng, and chestnut inside blended well with the broth, providing ample satisfaction. The portion was generous, enough for two people even for those with smaller appetites. However, it's a bit disappointing that the space is cramped and there are only two small tables for dining in the store. But don't forget, this place specializes in takeout.

I’m not a fish person but the black cod and radish stew is so delicious that I have to recommend it. The owners are very nice. Serving size is very big so it’s good to share dishes with friends.

Recommending this place to everyone I know. Eun-deagu has the most insane flavor! Homey/personal atmosphere created by the owner’s stories and passion for his food and craft.

Do not be fooled by how small this place looks. It is the best Dakdori and Eudaegu I've ever had, period. This place also won Michelin 2019, and various awards for one reason: their food. We ordered both the dak dori and eudaegu, minimum spicy. Have you seen ratatouille? The scene when food takes one back to childhood? I had that happen to me. The owner is also very friendly and accommodating! Amazing homey experience!

Always good here! The chicken and also the galbi! Can't decide, so I get both and if it's salty then just add water no big deal, I can see why it gets salty when you take it home but I just reheat it with little more water and it's perfect. Taste even better when you reheat it and save it for later. Also love eating there Also if there is a table available, they treat you like family.

There’s one table in the space so if you’re lucky and a small party you’ll be able to snag it. The restaurant is run by a mother son duo and it felt like they had welcomed us into their home when we came in.We ordered the samgyetang (chicken soup) and the cod. Both were huge portions for a great price - they split the soup into two separate portions for us. Both dishes were incredible. The chicken soup has spices imported from their family in Korea, so it’s super authentic. They also gave us kimchi, pickled peppers, and pickled radish as bonchon - all amazing. The pickled radish has been fermenting since the pandemic. The owner and his mother are so friendly and you can feel the care they put into their dishes and their passion. We can’t wait to go back!

When craving Korean food this is my joint. We had the braised chicken, and were hooked with an off menu beef pork patty appetizer. Jeff keeps a small menu offering and excels at them. Check ‘em out I did!

Jun Won Dak aka Jun Won. Pandemic closed one of the most authentic K cuisines restaurants recognized. As the late J Gold, LATimes, Michelin Gourmand, Eater LA, LAPD, City of LA all recognize. Jun Won was a pandemic casualty but out of the ashes comes Jun Won Dak. Mom and Jeff cannot be kept down. They smartly transformed to a togo operation. Concentrating on 4 main dishes and a powerful 2 banchan combo. Just right amount of spice. Samgye Tang - Chick Soup rivals well known Buil. Generous portions. Clean and pleasant small space. Only one table so take out. They close at 7 but last order is 6:30p. Support your Mom and Son places. My GF approved. Give it a try! :)

I love this restaurant. We have eaten at their restaurant for over 10 years until they closed down during pandemic. Finally they opened this to go place. The owner Jeff is one of the best guy I have ever seen. His mother makes the best food, the braised black cod(은대구조림) , spicy chicken stew(닭또리탕) and Ginseng chicken Samgyetang (삼계탕) are so delicious. Good amount of food. I haven't try braised short rib(갈비찜) yet, I will try next time. This is not fancy place, only good for to go. I would strongly recommend this place to all my friends.
