The workers here are so sweet and give helpful recommendations. I love getting drinks from here and the matcha is great!

Came for rice balls. It wasn't even an option on the tablet for ordering. Kind of a bad UI system and first impression. Lady at the front said I can only order from the tablet so I walked out

I’ve been to many junbi locations and this one seems to be the worst one. The drinks is way on the sweeter side and water down- even I did no sweet it is still sweet. The service is also bad. They also run out of boba and for the milk option they forced you to add $1.5 for oat milk since they run out of dairy milk as well

The worker with braids kept touching her hair while making the drinks and her hair was touching the cups 🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢 literally the most unhygienic boba place I’ve seen. Needs to be inspected by the health inspectors… this is really concerning

Took more than 30 minutes to make my single drink. When asked about it, they said they made and called it, but I was standing in front of them the whole time. Proceeded to say someone stole my drink when no one did. Didn't even apologize.

My boyfriend and I visited for the first time during the Miffy collaboration event, excited to experience both the themed merchandise and the matcha. The event officially started at 11:30 AM, and we got in line right on time. However, we didn’t leave until around 4 PM, which was far longer than we expected. Given that over 1,000 people had RSVP’d on Instagram, the company should have anticipated the large crowd. Unfortunately, the line moved at an agonizingly slow pace. It took us about 30–40 minutes to advance just 30 feet, as the line stretched around the block. At one point, the line didn’t move at all for 45 minutes, reportedly due to “employee breaks,” yet there was zero communication from staff. Understandably, many people abandoned the line, as we were left standing in the heat with no updates.

As a matcha lover, I was determined to stick it out, hoping to try something unique. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed with my drink. For a place that calls itself a matcha house, the matcha was shockingly weak and pale, tasting more like milk than anything remotely close to authentic matcha. To make matters worse, it looked nothing like the vibrant drinks I’d seen in reviews or even the cups other customers received.

Additionally, we were frustrated to learn after four hours of waiting that the event was card-only—something that wasn’t advertised anywhere, either on the Miffy event flyers or in-store signage. This was a huge inconvenience, and to add insult to injury, the merchandise was limited to one item per person/transaction, another detail that wasn’t communicated.

While the employees were kind and welcoming, the management of this event was a disaster. Once inside, we were shocked to see a full staff, yet many employees were standing around while only a few were making drinks and packing orders. I understand that events can be taxing, but seeing workers lounging and chatting while we had waited in line for four hours was disappointing and unprofessional.

Overall, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this “matcha” shop again.

P.W.

Good reputation leads to complacency -- sad! When my friend's tea was not sweet enough, he asked for adding more sweetness. Surprisingly, the barista said she was too busy to make any modification !!! What an attitude ! What kind of business it represents when it allows a staff having this kind of attitude. The location of this store is in Westwood Village near UCLA Health Center

It wasnt just me but lots of my friends and I had negative experiences of the staff being hostile towards us specifically at this store. First time 2-4 of your staffs were at the counter but I was straight out ignored for 10 minutes and no one told me there was self ordering kiosks as well. While your staffs were not actually busy making drinks but instead just chatting with the customers. 2nd time was decent. 3rd time i was there google clearly says you open at 11:30 I walked in at 11:38 ish your staff yelled at me "we are not open" as if i was committing some trespassing crime but the door was clearly unlocked.
After chatting with my friends we came to the conclusion that it is possible specific staffs in this particular store is hostile towards customer of a particular race and gender demographic thats it.
