The $76 bone-in ribeye was quite tough and very very dry! And this dry and tough piece of meat got served alone on the plate with nothing else on the plate, no potato, no vegetable!! Not even any bread to start! $76! It truly seems that only salt and pepper was put on this steak, it had absolutely little flavor. AND it was tough and very dry! There was absolutely no hint of any steak juice coming from steak as you cut it, even though I ordered medium rare, AND even though the color of the meat in the center was darkish pink. Darkish pink at the center but thoroughly dry and tough! Can you believe this! Do not buy this ridiculously-expensively-priced bone-in ribeye at this place. Do not repeat my experience of getting served a dry and tough piece of meat, that seemed only to have been salted and peppered, all alone by itself without any bread or sides. Nothing at all came with the piece of dry and tough meat! I had to ask for mashed potatoes, because how can you possibly just eat this lousy tough and dry piece of meat without at least something else?! I'm a ribeye steak lover, and tasted many expensive juicy tasty flavorful delicious ribeye steaks, that are cooked just wonderfully right. Not the bone-in ribeye at this place. Don't get ripped off at this place.
Grace was our waitress and we truly are grateful for her. She provided exceptional service and brought our food and utensils promptly and with care. Grace also provided us with suggestions as it was our first time there. Given the positive experience we had, we definitely plan on going back!
It was good food. I had the turkey dinner because it was Thanksgiving. All good except should have had gravy on the side. My husband had a great steak. Lots of food.
First, we were coming after the Rams game. I took the latest reservation possible and was still late. They were waiting on us, they even tried to call to let us know the kitchen closed at 9:30. I ran in at 9:17. And even though my family and wait staff were on a time crunch, we got our orders in before the kitchen closed and had one of the best meals ever. I hate going into a restaurant that close to close, knowing the staff wants to go home, but they assured us other than getting our food in, we shouldn't worry about how late we were there. I appreciated that but also made sure we both enjoyed our food but didn't unnecessarily hang out. I would go back again and again. Amazing staff, good, and atmosphere.
Made a reservations and seated promptly. Friendly server dude. Had the crab cake which was tasty and a good small starter for 2. My wife had the fillet cooked medium and she said it was perfectly cooked and tasty. I had the bone in rib eye, supposed to be Medium rare but came out medium. Tasted ok but needed a good dose of salt. The peppercorn and bearnaise sauce weren't bad but could definitely use more flavor for my liking. The cut of meat wasn't the most tender but for $80 in an airport hotel steakhouse it's fair. I would suggest better steak knives as I should have to muscle and saw the steak. Mushroom, creamed spinach and garlic mash were good size but again could use a little more flavor. All in all ok for a steakhouse in a Marriott. Wine is pretty expensive at $28 a glass on average. Expect to spend $100-$150 per person. Also make sure you get your parking ticket validated if you're just there for a few hours cos it saved me $40.
Lisa made our experience worth coming. We weren't prepared for such a nice dinner. JW Steakhouse even carried one of our favorite wines (Opus One). I can't say enough great things about Lisa. She understands guest service and is someone who you should endeavor to keep, train and manage staff at all levels.
Steak was overcooked. They charge for a sauce for steak, that we did not order, and did not want or use! They charge 11$ for bread FYI.
This was the most fantastic meal we have ever had at an airport hotel! Bravo! If I return to LA, I will definitely make this a must do again.
Outstanding service and heavenly food. We had the rib eye and the filet mignon with bernaise sauce. They were delicious beyond description. They were cooked perfectly, were generous portions and perhaps the best steak we have ever had. The sides were also fantastic. The creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes were heavenly. Do not miss the butterscotch bread pudding for desert. Shockingly excellent restaurant located in the lobby of the JW Marriott hotel.
My husband had a short rib and I had a fillet both were excellent meals. The chocolate cake was to die for. Such a nice meal at the end of a stressful weekend out of town.

Pleasantly surprised by the JW Steakhouse. Marriott is not typically known for their restaurants.
My stopover at LAX Marriott was a lucky accident. I found the steakhouse at the hotel to be exceptional.
Our waiter Augustine was on point the whole meal with his service. The food was flavorful & amazing.
I wasn't expecting much from hotel lobby restaurant, but my dinner was a treat. Lisa was my server, and she was amazing--she was covering a very full section with hustle, competency, and a kind attitude. Despite her having several tables all sat at same time, she timed my meal and service perfectly.
Plus, the food was very good. The steak had a perfect crust and was cooked to a perfect medium. Very impressive.

The meal is always exceptional. The quality of the food is top notch and worth every dollar spent. The filet mignon is our favorite (melts in your mouth), and the wine selection is always on point and the staff is always friendly and helpful. And I always have to get my Bernaise sauce. Yum
