I had high hopes for this restaurant because we used to like them for our japanese food. In my opinion this time the food was bland. We ordered the pork belly mini plate, garlic edamame, and ginseng ramen. The taste was a tad bit short. Plus the restaurant was hard to find from the parking lot.

Food is always great, but today it took too long. Orders came at different times. We ordered a additional dish and it never came. Server attitude was rude and didn’t care about the delay. Japanese are known for great hospitality, service is bad. Staff don’t look happy and it feels like they’re doing you a favor when you ask for something.

I have been coming to this location for over 10 years. They have a nice happy hour menu and now offer late night happy hour again. Very filling and reasonably priced. There's always a heaping amount of scallops on my dish

Went with friends after work but it was happy hour. We love the food there, the waitress was friendly and nice. The environment get more crowded later around 7pm. We ordered sushi and appetizers and some sake to share. We paid about $15 per person. The fried calamari not much flavor and the fried sesame chicken was little dried..

I used to go to kabuki all the time when I lived in LA but then I moved away and I was gone for 10 years now I'm back. I'm planning to stay so I couldn't wait to go to kabuki for some Japanese food and yes, it had been a long time since I've been there, but the quality of the food was still outstanding even nearly 10 years later it was fresh. It was good and our servers were excellent. Never had to wait for anything. They were right there with anything we asked for so anyone if you're in the mood for fresh yummy Japanese food.. I highly recommend going to kabuki and recommend the Shishido roll it was excellent along with all the other food that we had that night

I'm not quite sure why this place gets docked for "being a chain". Despite usually being mildly understaffed, they're extremely friendly, quick, and responsive. Their food is great, their service is friendly, and their drinks are delicious.Parking: Parking can be a bit of a mess here, especially given the fact that the parking will be on the other side of the structure in contrast to Kabuki's or Islands. But it provides a good opportunity to check out the Howard Hughes Center on the walk to the restaurant and walk off some of the food on the way back to the car.Pro tip: if you're coming with anyone who has trouble walking, you can drop them off on the very corner the restaurant is at before parking the car.

I went here with a couple of friends, and from the get go, we were getting weird stares from the servers. When we got to pay, they disappeared with the receipt and did not give us our change until we went up personally and asked for it. It was not even busy. The servers need better training in customer service.
The service is great and all my doordash orders are always ready quick.Everything on the menu tastes great.Employees work fast and are polite.Kabuki restaurant is the perfect place to have family dinner.One of the best Japanese restaurants out there.
