Pro: The fish itself was fresh and service was quick.Con: The miso soup was watered down. I don’t do well with spicy food and the majority of their menu is spicy, so for me it was a struggle. I politely found a maki roll that didn’t have a pepper emoji next to it and asked for the jalapeño removed and no wasabi on the sushi. The server nodded understanding my request. However, when the food came, one of the sashimis was tossed with fresh wasabi and the maki roll had loads of sriracha and chili oil on top. Neither of these elements were written on the menu for me to have known in advance nor did the server tip me off to them being spicy.Overall, I would not recommend this spot if you do not like spicy or a lot of sauce. It was a bit underwhelming for my taste.

Underrated sushi place. Fresh sashimi, tempura, karage. Great prices, portion sizes reasonable. Cozy place but was not too busy on a Saturday night.

I have been trying to give them multiple chances since they are well priced n close to my house but tonight is the final when I got their yellowtail roll n they gave me bloody fish in my sushi. Now I know the sushi chefs are not Japanese but Thai still, as chefs at the very least you can trim out the bloody fish. They are also very rude n make sarcastic remarks to me when I don’t order more than an appetizer mussels but now this one time I took a chance to order sushi they served me disgusting sushi rolls that are basic rolls. These Thai chefs do not deserve to be making sushi. It’s gross to pay for this kind of sushi. I didn’t eat my order. I don’t want to get sick. I will never go back again I just wish this town would have better standards for sushi to shame the Japanese. Take a look at my photo of the bloody sushi.

I had the hell fire roll and it was delicious! I also had avocado tempura and I really enjoyed it. It’s hard to find a place with good sushi but this was really delicious. Staff was very attentive. They even gave me something to eat that would help tame the spice level of the roll. Definitely recommend!

Cute little gem in Hollywood, intimate, fresh, and delicious. We had the dragon roll and the red light, staff is friendly and the tea cups are thick (not a euphemism).

After dining Kaijin on Friday night, we’ve found our new favorite neighborhood sushi spot. The fish was fresh and reasonably priced, complemented by warm and attentive service. The added experience of getting alcohol next door was a plus. With an extensive menu, it was challenging to make a decision, but eventually, we settled on the Aquaman roll – and it was incredibly delicious! We’ll be back soon!

Generous portions and delicious flavours! Will definitely come back.Parking: Free parking lot but it only has about ~10 spots that were occupied. Circled around the block to park at a meter.

Came across this spot while looking for the bagel spot next door. Decided sushi sounded like a better option. Since reviews were good I thought I would give it a try. Service was very good.

We were on Fairfax and were desperately craving sushi. We are so glad we found this spot because the reviews are accurate. This place is absolutely delicious. We ordered a Sexy Lady Roll, a salmon hand roll, and a rainbow roll. All the fish tasted fresh, and the flavor of the rolls was perfection. Our server was so sweet, and the chefs were quick to bring out our food. It's a cute little spot tucked away in a small plaza. It might not look like much on the outside, but it is a place worth trying for sure.
