This place rocks! Great deals, great food and the best service ever! Rudy manages this location so professionally that I do not have the time explain in detail how impressed I am. Jenny is a wonderful server and the bartender knows his stuff! We cannot wait to come back very soon.

Server and person at door very friendly. But that’s as good as it got. Food was mid, green and mole enchiladas. Drinks were very sweet, can only taste the syrups. I might give a different location a try and stick to beer or tequila neat.

I’ve been at this place a couple of times. Food is quite good as well as drinks. This time around service was definitely not good. We were a big group (one table next to the other one) and the server would only go around one of the tables without getting our orders (several times). The atmosphere never disappoints though.

Lil Mario is a creep he tries to get at servers. His son Chris (who’s a server there) gets high and drinks on the job with his homie that also works there. Would not recommend eating or working here. Oh yea Christian gets freaky in the back with his girl that also works there. Weird

They play loud music and disturb the residence around the area. They should be shut down for noise violations.

drinks and food was great, the vibe is cool but we just experienced awkwardness with our waiter and he kept forgetting to bring us what we ordered lol and double check your receipt before paying, got charged for something we ordered but never got it brought out to us even tho we let him know lol ?

I visited this location 2/9/2024, I have visited the locations in Bellflower, Montebello, Silverlake, Redondo Beach, Whittier, and Marina del Rey. I have to say this is the 2nd to last of my best experiences. The corn tortillas for the queso fundido were warm at best. The new items on the menu, which were the enchiladas de mole were average. The pasta a la diabla was good, but nothing like the other locations' version of it. I don't know if it's because of the neighborhood they are located or because they had a private event they were worried about, but the overall taste was subpar. I really like Kalaveras as a whole, I worked in the city of Bellflower when they had a soft opening tasting before they opened and invited us to give our feedback. I also found, who I assumed was the manager, a little condescending to the servers who showed up to work, Kalaveras founders have to be careful with management like this, because it's easy for these type of management styles to bring a restaurant down and affect your business.

Excellent and friendly staff. The food was delicious and fresh. We recommend the birria tacos. I think you'll need earplugs first the loud music and videos (not my favorite). Good value.

Note to management - close the doors (entire wall) when it’s cold

I had a great time at this location, but only for their happy hour.Drinks are great, the vibe is fun and the service is quick. Honestly, I was shocked at how cheap the bill was, but realized it was because we made smart choices.I dont think it's worth the full price ever. The full price menu is obscene in comparison.I'd call to ask what they're specials and happy hour menu is to make sure it's worth it!

Came here with friends for happy hour and we had such a great time! We came in early and the friendly staff immediately greeted us and sat us. The restaurant is overall really spacious so we had a great selection in terms of seating. After we were sat, we noticed how massive the selection was in terms of items. While there was a menu for regular food items, the happy hour menu was pretty extensive as well. I ended up getting their happy hour swings and picking from their numerous choice of margaritas. Everything we had was delicious and the service perfect. Our waitress was super attentive and made sure to explain any items we weren't sure of.Overall, Kalaveras is a super fun vibe with a great atmosphere and great music. The decor of the restaurant is amazing and perfect for great pictures. They also played amazing music which was a perfect vibe for me and my friends. We will definitely be back!

Couple months ago we seen the big opening ,no big deal when we called to get a reservation ,because at the moment of the arrival ,Nobody could find our reservation . Even when that restaurant is empty. This time ; we know why we shouldn't came back or maybe was the destiny that night. 20 minutes to get a simply drink .30 minutes to get the food ( and don't say that the food is make it at the moment ,because is not true )An interval between 20-40 minutes to get the check and get the check back with my card . And we only get pretty basic dishes .At the bar ;people had a hard time figured how to do a 'paloma' drink .Pretty basic menu. The concept of "Cantina urbana " is not fitting with this place, it looks moore than those franchise chains who use the ambiance and location to "excuse' the bad service and the poor quality food.Good luck guys ,most of restaurants who were picked that location ,ending his path leaving.
