Another exceptional dining experience at Kali! I enjoyed the "Greatest Hits" menu featuring some of the Kali favorites from the past 9 years. The beetroot tartare was sublime and the famous Rosemary roll with cultured butter was a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the tasting menu. The wine and cocktail program at Kali are thoughtfully curated to complement the cuisine. This dinner reminded me why I've been coming to Kali regularly since they opened nine years...
All of the dishes are great. We are a group of 4 and we ordered a bunch of as la carte dishes to share. All of the appetizers/ small plates are good. The truffle risotto taste good but the rice is a bit on the hard side. The bread and rosemary butter is divine. For the main we opted for the duck breast which our group enjoyed; however, the $110 rib eye taste just okay despite the great plating. We think there is something off with the cut of the meat. The two desserts are simple...
We had a great date / birthday celebration evening at Kali. The dishes were thoughtful, well presented, and delicious. The service was excellent. We started with caviar and then the steak tartare. Both were great. After that we had sea urchin spaghetti and a ribeye. Again very delicious. We had a great bottle of grower champagne with our meal. All in all a great visit. we highly recommend Kali.
