I have been a customer for longer than I know at this Katsuya location and have never been disappointed. The service is exceptional and the food always is created with great flavor profiles (I love to cook as well). Thanks for always accommodating my appetite! Lexy
The food was great except seems that Katsuyas portions seem to get smaller while their prices grow. Still all tasted great. Great service. Our server Greg was wonderful and his supporting staff was also so good. My daughter and I racked up an easy $300 bill including only 3 alcoholic beverages. I don't think they should automatically add in the “service charge” for their employees. They removed it - apparently it's “optional” but I'm thinking 80% of guests just throw a card down and don't realize. Anyway still a great night!
Luis T was awesome! We had a great time before the Laker game and food was delicious.

The food was amazing, service was very good. Sushi was super fresh and the rolls were delicious.
Incredible cuisine here. Fully appreciated all that was put in front of my. Delectable from start to finish. Excellent service as well. This hit right just before a Lakers game too.

The sushi and cod were outstanding. Excellent service despite everyone arriving at the same time for the Lakers game.
I've been here many times. The food quality has definitely gone down. For the price, we felt it was overpriced for the quality of what we got. In particular, the salmon lemon roll, which is our favorite did not taste fresh and almost tasted like the fish was bad. Thankfully we didn't get sick, but we didn't even eat it because it tasted off. The wagyu gyoza was way overcooked. We also got spicy tuna on rice cakes which was ok and albacore with onions and yellowtail with jalapeno. Both were good, but again, not as fresh tasting as we've had in the past. I think next Lakers game we'll try one of the other newer spots. Sadly I think Katsuya may be past it's prime at this location.
The service and ambience were excellent. The sashimi was prepared beautifully, and the seafood werefresh and delicious, but the food was over price for what it was.
Had not been to that Katsuya for a while as Kings were not playing. Went last night, and as usual they DID NOT disappoint. Got a nice table near sushi bar. The sushi was perfectly prepared and was some of the most tender and delicious we have ever had. Like butter. Try the Blue Fin if they have it. Fabulous! Will be back soon

We had the tasting menu. Each of the individual dish tastes good but in a combination of a menu it was not in a smooth flow e.g. from light to heavy back to dessert .. the beef rib stew was so salty that could not be a stand-alone dish without any side dish.
Maybe next time we will try to mix our own menu.

Food tasted okay overall but ridiculously overpriced and portions are very small. Ordered 2 rolls, 2 appetizers, and the cost was over $80. Katsuya roll was small and barely had any fish in it. Rock shrimp tempura roll had tiny pieces of shrimp on each roll piece. The "signature" crispy rice pieces are super small for $21. Only item that was a decent size was the spicy tempura shrimp. With the added "staff health charge", bill came to over $100 before tip. Really ridiculous. Would definitely not go back.
Always excellent, consistently prepared dishes. Crispy brussel sprouts, spicy tuna on crispy rice and popcorn shrimp are highly recommended, although any item on the menu is amazing. Oh, and the Tokyo Sour was excellent.
