The food and drinks are yummy. I am hooked on their salads. All three of us enjoyed our meals. I appreciate the ambiance. You feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. We were quite relaxed eating and having great conversations. The service is wonderful. We will be back.

Went here on a Saturday. The cashier said they were closing at 3:00 pm when their schedule on yelp says they close later. I ordered their tuna sandwich. The tuna and vegetables inside were delicious but the choice in bread was not the best one. The bread was too hard and overly chewy for a cold sandwich. Something thinner, and slightly toasted would have sufficed. The arugula was welting even though it was lightly dressed. Upon receiving my food, the server just served my food and walked away. They did not bother to ensure that was my order or ask if I needed anything else as they did with other people being serviced around me. Service lacked consistently across clients. The outdoor space is beautiful and most especially if you sit on the side of the building next to the fig tree and bougainvillea. Will I go again? Maybe.

I saw this place pop up on socials a few time and was eager to check it out. Being near Santa Monica, I didn't expect it to be quite expensive but it was good to try once. The Bayonne tartine ham sandwich had a unique savory flavor profile but was quite filling. The tuna sandwich was also good but I don't think it was worth $28 for a sandwich.... The wait was a bit for our food too. We waited at least 15 mins even thought there weren't that many people on a Friday morning for brunch... The ambiance was probably the best thing since they had a nice outdoor patio which is a great work/ study spot!

Great spot! I love the interior, back patio, natural lighting, and decor-- it's very relaxing and a great place to do work. I got the ham and cheese panini on a baguette because they were out of the regular bread and it was good! I do think the regular cup of lemonade was too pricy at $6. Overall, nice place and would come back!

This place deserves more credit. Everyone knows the cafe is amazing, great coffee, sandwiches, salads and breakfast. But do not miss out on By the Fire at Kiff during the evening!The owner Eric is a great guy and very interesting conversationalist. But chef Stephan runs the night shift and he is cooking amazing barbecued meats and vegetables.We ordered the BBQ chicken and Ribeye steak. Both were cooked perfectly and had great natural flavor. The Brussel sprouts and potatoes were cooked amazingly it was a great compliment to the meal. I enjoyed my steak with a fine glass of Bordeaux and my date had a cappuccino with her meal. This place has a beautiful atmosphere and perfect for any occasion.The chicken was priced at $18 and the ribeye steak was $35. Both sides were $8 a la carte. Please tell me where you can find a steak this good for $35!!!! Great value and quality. I’m so impressed with his place. Must be one of the best kept secrets in Los Angeles.

I feel bad for giving a bad review, since the people there were extremely nice. But I have never eaten a burger so expensive and horrible in my life. I was so frustrated that I almost cried. I couldn't eat it, so I brought half of it to my husband who also said that he had never eaten something so bad before.Also, I had looked at pictures and reviews and didn't find the information that after a certain time in the evening the food is just from the grill outside. So it was frustration after frustration.The decoration is cozy. The staff is super friendly. I wish the food was worth coming back, but unfortunately, not.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and was pleasantly surprised! I would have driven right past it if I didn't have google maps up, it's very unassuming from the outside, but give it a chance, they have a really cute patio out back! Coffee: I didn't order any food but their iced oat milk latte was really good. My only complaint is that it was pricey! $6.75 for a latte? I know it's LA on the west side, but jeeze, this is a little steep! Parking: I parked on the street out front, no issues on a Saturday morning. They have a sign (inside) saying they have parking out back, but it was too late by the time I saw it. Ambience: super cute back patio! Very quiet and full of plants. I'd like to come back for brunch when it's a bit warmer, or for wine and dinner on the weekend. Wine: The barista told me a bit about the wine club, I didn't taste any but it seems like a fairly good deal.
