I spent a great time with friends yesterday at my favorite spot, Kiku Sushi. The place has a cozy, authentic feel, like a small local restaurant in Japan. The sashimi and sushi were fresh and delicious, and the side dishes were impressive too. The scallops were especially good. The owner and staff were very friendly — it’s the kind of place you’d like to go back to again and again.

I don’t know why the ratings aren’t perfect. I’ve gone to many sushi restaurants all over LA and this by far is the best sushi I’ve had! Super fresh fish, great atmosphere for dining in, great service. Don’t think twice and try it.

If your coming here for sushi, know your paying sugarfish prices for below ayce sushi quality. Also the over reviewers are right, the free salad is old. left in the fridge for a week old. Their version of Agedashi tofu is also ridiculous. Its literally a whole carton of semi firm tofu cut into 4 wedges, that you need a knife and fork to eat.

Amazing service, with free soup and edamame. Super friendly staff and willing to accommodate gluten free diet (ask for gf soy sauce & substitute imitation crab for real crab).

Amazing place, highly recommended!
Love this place. Great sushi, miso soup, gyozas.
I came here a few months ago with some friends to celebrate a birthday. One of the cooks, who was clearly intoxicated came out and started making homophobic remarks towards us. To the point we had to tell him to leave us alone. He then again came back around and we again had to tell him to leave us alone. Very disappointed. Unsettling To think about what he could have done to our food. We will never go back.

Only tried this place because wait was too long next door. A bit nervous because it was empty, even the outdoor seating on a beautiful day. But sushi was surprisingly good, especially the ex-boyfriend roll. Glad they have riceless options. Lettuce in salad was old. Service was fast, but not particularly friendly.

The langostino roll and the teriyaki plate is amazing and really recommend. I do recommend this place. It's a hole in the wall and great taste, and to chill.
