Great experience for the most part, only issue we had was that i updated our reservation from 8pm to 7:30pm, got confirmation email, but then 8 minutes later the restaurant changed it back to 8pm without me knowing it. So we showed up 30 minutes “early” which was annoying. Might as well have not made a reservation at all.
Loved this place! The small intestines were super juicy and flavorful, and the abomasum had a nice chewy bite. Everything came out sizzling hot and fresh. The sides and soup balanced it out perfectly. Fun atmosphere and great for hanging out with friends—I’ll definitely be back!

Hands down the best spot in LA for Korean BBQ gopchang! The beef intestine combo was cooked perfectly—crispy outside, tender inside, and super flavorful.
The vibe is lively, service is fast, and the celebrity autographs on the wall say it all. Always a must-visit when I’m in LA!

Their hours show that they close at 2 AM, but I showed up at 1:10 AM and they were already closed down. It was a Friday night too. when they respect their own hours. The food is pretty good.

Checked out Kingchang LA in Ktown yesterday and it did not disappoint! The walls are covered with celebrity autographs which was pretty fun to look at while waiting for the food.
I heard their beef intestines are a must-try, but since I’m all about the meat, I went for the beef combo instead. They’ve also got pork and plenty of other options so there’s something for everyone. One cool thing is that while you’re grilling, the table setup also lets you cook a hotpot on the side—super convenient and cozy. The prime boneless short ribs was definitely my favorite!
On top of the combo, I ordered the spicy chicken feet and spicy rice cake with fish cake, both of which were amazing. And shoutout to their mashed potato side dish—so good I had to get multiple refills.
Ordering is super easy too. No need to flag down servers, you can just order everything through the tablet at the table. Oh, and plenty of parking, which is always a huge plus in LA.

Great service and exceptional food. We got the King Chang combo and added a small beef combo. It was exactly the right amount for 9 of us — 6 adults and 3 kids. We chose the bulgogi and the short-ribs. Both were very good. The brisket was the big hit at our table. The beer was dangerously cold and so refreshing to wash everything down. And of course some soju. Fun evening with friends. I wish they had kimchi-jjigae and that steam egg came with the BBQ combo. But neither would keep me from going back. I definitely will be back. We were there at 6 on a Thursday and seemingly the first table for dinner service. We were going to vallet, but had no problem finding on-street parking.
I visited this restaurant after seeing tons of positive reviews online, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience I had during my trip to Los Angeles. Definitely overhyped and not worth the attention.😓😓
First of all, they forced us to pay an 18% tip, and literally wouldn’t let us leave without paying it. I was shocked by this. We mostly grilled the meat ourselves, and service was minimal at best. At checkout, a staff member even followed us to the door, demanding the tip. I told them I only had large bills, and they still insisted we must pay the exact amount in cash or use a card — but either way, “you must pay,” they said. It felt extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate 😠.
Second, the food was far below expectations. The beef intestine was nearly impossible to chew and had a strong unpleasant taste 🤢. The seafood pancake tasted more like a plain scallion pancake, and the spicy soup had soggy, overcooked potatoes. Nothing we ordered matched the hype we saw online.
Afterward, I checked the reviews again and noticed several other people had similar experiences with the forced tipping. So it’s clearly not a one-time issue.
As a traveler, I respect cultural differences — but this was not that. It felt more like being pressured and taken advantage of, which is something I’ve never encountered even after years living in New York. This so-called “trendy hotspot” is nothing more than a social media illusion. ❌ I will never return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

We were a party of two and ordered two combos — the Beef Combo (Small) and the Intestine Combo (Large). Our total bill came to over $200, which is more than $100 per person. Given this level of spending, I was extremely surprised and disappointed when, after asking for spicy pickled cucumbers a third time, the server told us, “This will be the last time.”
If we were spending only $40–$50 total, I could understand such a policy. But for a premium-priced meal like this, it felt inappropriate and even rude. The quality of the food was quite good, and we appreciated that the staff helped with grilling the meat, but the overall experience was tarnished by this interaction.
I hope the management reconsiders how they treat customers, especially when they are clearly willing to pay for a quality dining experience.

Walked past this grilled beef intestine spot in K-Town so many times—always drawn in by the amazing smell. Finally tried it, and it did not disappoint!
🐂 Signature Grilled Marinated Beef Intestine
Surprisingly, it’s pre-braised! Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. The fat is rendered out beautifully—easily the best grilled intestine I’ve had.
🐓 Spicy Korean Braised Chicken Feet
If you like the ones from Yasiknara, you’ll enjoy these! Very spicy and tender, the feet are stewed until they’re soft and melt in your mouth. Heat lovers, this one’s for you!
🥩 Grilled Thin-Sliced Beef Tongue & Short Rib
Both were great! The beef tongue was super thin, which was a nice change from thick cuts—delicate but flavorful. Short rib was juicy too. Just note: we ordered half portions and they’re on the smaller side.
🍛 Spicy Octopus Seaweed Perilla Rice
This rice dish had great wok hei! Tossed fresh, crispy and aromatic with seaweed and perilla. The small octopus bits mixed in made it extra tasty with the grilled meats.
🧀 Cheesy Creamy Potato Pancake
Never had anything like this before—thin, cheesy, and addictively creamy. Couldn’t stop eating it!
🚗 Parking entrance is a bit tricky to find, but there’s valet and usually enough space. There’s a Yi Fang next door, but it was closed after dinner.

I came to LA twice a week one day each time. And I went to this place both times. Love the intestines. It just have a very special way of seasoning. Sweet and savory. I’d recommend order the big plate for three ppl. The large intestines are the best. Very fatty tho.

Recently discovered an amazing grilled beef intestine spot in Ktown — King Chang!
I’d heard friends rave about their beef intestines for ages, and I finally tried it myself… totally lived up to the hype!
🥩 We ordered the combo set with small intestines, large intestines, and beef tripe. The portion was super generous, everything was cleaned well, and grilled to perfection — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. The large intestines were the highlight — perfectly grilled and absolutely addictive with kimchi and side dishes!
🍲 Highly recommend their soybean paste soup — it comes with sweet potatoes, slightly spicy and full of flavor. So satisfying when paired with rice! And the side dishes? Super fresh and thoughtfully prepared — nothing felt cheap or rushed.
🌶️ A few must-tries:
• Spicy Chicken Feet: Addictively spicy — the more you eat, the more you crave!
• Riceball: Like a deconstructed Korean rice bowl — seaweed, radish bits, and fluffy rice mixed together. So simple, yet SO good.

Had to get my Squid Game fix before Season 3 drops, and what better way than trying the same grilled intestines that Lee Byung-hun’s character would approve of! 😆
Before we even ordered our mains, I was absolutely HOOKED on the honey-glazed pumpkin banchan (side dish). I’m not even kidding - I went through FIVE plates of this stuff and couldn’t stop myself. I’m officially declaring that KingChang has the best banchan game in LA’s Korean food scene! 🥇
The beef intestine set was absolutely incredible! The combination of caramelized onions + melted cheese was pure genius. Picture this: perfectly grilled, crispy-edged intestines dipped in gooey cheese with those sweet caramelized onions on top. Each bite was so good it felt like I had anime sparkles and dramatic background music playing (if you know, you know 😉). This is basically the Korean BBQ version of In-N-Out’s Animal Style, and I am HERE for it!
The intestines were grilled to perfection - crispy exterior with that perfect chew, no weird smell or texture that sometimes puts people off. The cheese wasn’t overpowering, just the right amount of richness to complement the meat.
Big bonus - they’re open until 2AM, making this the perfect late-night spot when you’re craving some serious Korean comfort food after a night out. Finally, a place that understands LA’s night owl culture!
