I love Kitchen Mouse! The food is always great. I’ve never had a bad meal there. The coffee is so good and smooth. They also are one of the few places that has soy milk.

Good food, service could be better as we paid via card and wanted to leave a cash tip but the lady who took our payment seemed so put off that we didn’t inform her of our intentions and just dismissed us (smile quickly went away) and we also had to clean off our own table to sit. The bus person seemed overwhelmed and afterward came to help quite a bit and was nice.

I wish the focus was the food as it was good vegan food - creative and yummy! Unfortunately a paid item was missing from our plate and when I informed the staff I got only a piece of the order - not sure if this was a hold over from the tip issue.

I hope the manager or owner remind staff of the intention of the place which I feel confident would include great food and service - regardless of any extra money given after payment of food.

I’m leaving a star rating that matches how I felt leaving the Kitchen Mouse

The tofu sandwich on focaccia changed. The bread used to have a rougher outside layer that was delicious, today it was soft. Not bad, but prefer the old bread

I shed a single tear when this sandwich came out.

This restaurant is MOSTLY VEGAN. A few items do have egg or dairy milk, but they are easily swapped for plant based options. This place uses fresh ingredients and makes creative dishes. I wish my tummy was big enough to eat one of everything! I got the chilaquiles and a "dirty"chai latte (dirty means it has an extra espresso shot). I don't live near by, so I'm not going to be able to visit often. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-26

Their fennel bagel is absolutely delicious.

I only purchased the Chai latte and the gluten croissant. I threw it away after the first bite. It was flavorless and tasted like bread. I prefer Cars Artisanals in Pasadena.

We grabbed 2 breaky croissants and a cream cheese bagel and they were both delicious. Cream cheese on the bagel was nearly too generous. Coffees were too hot and burnt the milk but perhaps that is the American way. Our Aussie dollar hurt us at this place with it costing $100aud for breaky. We would do it again though!

I’ve maybe written only one other review on GMaps but damn I had to write one for the bakeryBest offering of bagels and schmears and add-ins but MORE IMPORTANTLYAny time I come in here they have a different playlist on and every time it’s incredible. From singer-songwriter throwbacks to silly bangers that you totally forgot about to the one day you come in on a day where it’s actually raining and they’re playing the Twilight soundtrack from beginning to endI’m here often if not weekly and it will remain this way so long as I live in LA
