Went in to get take out. The girl was very friendly. I ordered malatang (my favorite food) since I saw a sign outside for it. I went home, opened it and noticed it had no color, I tried a piece of food and it had some peanut seasoning but there was no spice at all, flavorless the peanut flavor was so faint. I called and they told me that’s how it’s made, there was chili oil included but that is not spicy and I’m white. Also the amount of chili oil would not be enough for the food.

Malatang is not good, both the M1 and M2. Skewers are ok.

The food was terrible. I ordered a spicy beef noodle with bacon fried rice. The taste was bland with no flavor. The veggies on the fried rice were straight from a frozen bag and microwaved. The soup/broth was just boiled water with no seasoning on the beef. The only positive was that the waitress was kind, even though she never came back to refill my water.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

December 2024: I liked the restaurant when I went 6 months ago, but most recent visit there it had a new menu and everything was bland. Did it change ownership?

I ordered Uber eats from this place, waited an hour, and learned that my order was cancelled because the restaurant gave my order away to someone else without checking.

We were initially confusing this place with two other Northern Cafes in the area (Hot Pot and Dumpling House). This one is the noodle house which means they specialize in noodle dishes.

The service was great and friendly. The waitress was patient and explained different types of dishes as our friends had questions about the lamb skewers. Everything is ordered digitally (reminded me of the time in China).

We ordered a few cold dish appetizers:
- Woodear mushroom: Typical flavor of sour and savory with some garlic (8 out of 10)
- Cucumber: Similar taste as woodear but with a lot more garlic (8 out of 10)

Followed by mini lamb skewers: I feel they need to increase the serving portion and with cumin as a dipping spice (as how every restaurant does in China).

Ended with two noodle dishes: One sliced beef noodle and one Dan Dan noodle. Both were mediocre and lack the flavor needed, especially for Dan Dan noodle.

As a Chinese, I would not recommend this restaurant, but if you just want to give it a try and do not mind its lack of authenticity, go for it!

It's a bit disappointing, but I ordered the spicy noodle, but it wasn't that spicy, so I think it would be better if it was a little more spicy. Self-ordering and table ordering are also available.

Aside from the noodles, side dishes are available on a self-serve basis (charges apply).

It's a good place for a light meal.

The food was good!
The portions are large. I couldn't finish mine.
The waiter had swagger.
We will be back. They'll be on our regular rotation now.

The clerk's service was not good and he did not order at his seat, but some customers behind him could order at their seat. And consumption is compulsorily charged. Finally, when I was almost finished eating the noodles, I found a hair in it. I ordered tomato egg beef noodles and sauerkraut beef noodles. The former had a strong tomato sauce flavor, while the latter was average.

The large plate of chicken was too thickly thickened and did not match my expectations. The mutton skewers were okay, and the stir-fried noodles were also good.
