Delicious suadero tacos. The meat was super high-quality and the salsa that came with the tacos was elite.

Food was delicious! We tried the molotes de plátano, which are three small, crispy banana fritters filled with cheese, served on top of a rich, flavorful mole sauce. We also enjoyed tacos de suadero, tender brisket cooked to perfection; Taco Sonia, a specialty with beef rib, chorizo, potatoes, and cactus; and flor de calabaza quesadilla, a savory quesadilla filled with tender squash blossoms and cheese. Additionally, there was a daily special: taco de huitlacoche, made with truffle-like corn fungus that has a smoky, earthy flavor. All dishes were served with warm, homemade tortillas made from fresh maize dough, enhancing the authentic taste.

Located inside Mercado La Paloma. One of the best Mexican dishes we ever had. They make their own fresh masa everyday. The corn tortilla is delicious. The owner used to work for Holbox. She saved up and open this restaurant. Amazing accomplishment. Komal has been designated Bib Gourmand. Service staffs were friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Oh my So Gooood!! Everything was delicious. Tortillas of course amazing. Mole is out of this world amazing. Get something with mole. You can dip anything in it. Amazing flavors and now a go to for us. There’s a reason TimeOut named it a top 50 new restaurant in the USA

Excellent flautas. The crunchy corn tortilla rolls with cheese and mole made for a good meal. Skip the new pan de elote. 🌽 It tasted like it was a day short of becoming hard tack. The passion fruit topping and cream weren't enough to overcome it.

This place has truly become my favorite spot to eat. The first time and ordered tlacoyos, the best tlacoyos I ve ever had😋
The second time I tried their delicious salad, and the steak tacos and…. mamma mia! Everything was so
exquisite!

I’m going to be honest. As a Mexican, I expected more flavor. The tortillas did not have a maiz flavor, in fact they didn’t taste like anything to me. The costilla taco was hard to eat because the carne was tough. Everything was also under seasoned. I did like the mole taquitos but I didn’t think the accompanying salsa had much flavor and the bean mixture needed some salt. The calabasa cake I thought was very dry. I wanted to like this place so much but all did was satisfy my eyes and disappointed my taste buds.

Delicious. The quesadilla de flor was my favorite, beautiful presentation and the sweet corn perfectly balanced the cheese and smokiness of the salsa. The chuchito was also delicious with a fun presentation, Molotes were solid. Highly recommend the pan de calabaza for dessert - not too sweet and a nice crust. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, my boyfriend and I shared 3 dishes and a dessert.

Authentic and tasty Mexican food tucked inside a predominantly Mexican food court. We tried the Tlacoyos, Flor de Calabaza, and Suadero tacos, along with the cactus and hibiscus aguas del día. The Flor de Calabaza was a standout and highly recommended. The tacos leaned a bit salty, but still flavorful.

Note, the nearby Holbox has a very long line, but there was no wait to order at Komal. The tight parking was honestly the most stressful part of the visit.

Overall, a great spot for authentic flavors without the wait.

I visited this place after I tried their signature Sonia taco in collaboration with another restaurant.
But I have to say it was not as good as presented at the other restaurant. Definitely they have A LOT of potential but they have to match the quality they showed at their collaboration…

Komal is located to the right when you enter the Mercado La Paloma. I got here around 3:20p and it was still busy inside the food court. I got the Flor del Calabaza quesadilla, which was unique in flavor. I also got the Chuchito which was packed and tasted superb. And I drank a cactus cucumber drink and what was so refreshing. There are other foods to try in the court that I will be returning to next time.
