Conrad the owner knows what he is doing here. He deserves ⭐. I hope he gets one day.
Food is top tier and his choice to bring the food to you and in order so you get perfect temperature is subtle and appreciated.
Made to order tortillas should be the standard.
I'm just upset I didn't find this place sooner and it was so good. I almost forgot to take a pic of the tacos 🌮

Such a wonderful experience you can taste how much they care and the service is above and beyond. we went on their most busy sunday and the service was still top notch and flavors to PERFECTION! Supporting heirloom mexican corn cultivation is so important!

Everything tasted really authentic The hot sauces were really good. The tortillas were very fresh and perfect bite to them. The quesadilla was very interesting and I really appreciate how the flavors came together with the addition of the blossom and the corn as well as the additional corn tortilla, which seems like a lot, but it actually wasn’t. The mole was the perfect blend of sweet and savory, and it had very earthy flavor undertones to it.

Decided to try this place for the first time. We ordered a couple of Tacos Sonia and the Brisket tacos. Also, we got a Mushroom Quesadilla.
We started with the Taco Sonia. It was very flavorful and the tortilla was awesome. The salsa was a bit spicy, but really tasty with the taco.
The Brisket Taco was good, but it was overshadowed by the Sonia.
Lastly we shared the Mushroom. Quesadilla. It was very good as well with fresh mushrooms. We really enjoyed it.
I remarked that this is probably my number 1 taco in LA, which is saying something!
We came here on a Saturday late morning and the entire Mercado was packed. Get here early as the word is out.

If you like corn, you will like Komal. Even the tiles are like corn kernels!
As someone who doesn’t typically like corn tortillas, Komal’s dedication to the craft of masa is not lost on me. The fragrance from the tortillas really highlights all of their other ingredients, whether it’s the meat, cactus, or potatoes. The textures and flavors completely surpassed my expectations overall.
We got the tlacoyos, taco sonia, tacos de suadero, tacos de costilla, and the flor de calabaza quesadilla. We loved all of them!! The quesadilla is a sleeper hit and probably the most-loved overall with the sweetness from the squash blossom shining through, although if I had to pick a personal favorite, it would probably be the tacos de costilla with the caramelized onions!
The items are also surprisingly good for sharing, and that way you can try more things! There’s no line (especially compared to Holbox) even though they’re on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list and the service is very fast. Honestly, it’s just a matter of time before this place blows up!

Food was bland and underwhelming given the price. Ordered five different items and none of them stood out. Service was also bad. We ordered online and still had to wait 30 minutes after we arrived. Meanwhile people that ordered while we waited were quickly receiving their food. The workers didn't look like they wanted to be there either, no sense of urgency while the line grew.

Fantastic corn tortillas. Had the tacos de suadero, taco Sonia, and taco de costilla. Each taco came with its own salsa that compliments the meats. I was especially impressed with the taco Sonia with the pickled cactus, a new favorite of mine. The agua del dia was strawberry and hibiscus which paired well with the savory and spicy tacos. It is located in a small food hall that gets crowded but definitely worth a try!

The culinary experience was truly exceptional, and the service was equally commendable. I am particularly impressed by the remarkable homemade tortillas; they are indeed a delightful indulgence. Every item I have sampled from the menu has been superb. I highly recommend experiencing this cuisine.

They have a weird system of completing down orders. For example, let’s say you order something off the menu and they ask you what color of tortilla you want. We ordered a quesadilla with a regular tortilla no color. We ordered right when they opened literally the second person in line. Orders for others kept on coming out. People that were with our party ordered here and their orders came in. Went up asked why it was taking so long and if the order would be ready. Their statement “Oh we haven’t even started your order but it will be ready”….do i have to wait until all the blue tortilla orders are done for me to get two simple quesadillas.A couple of attitude remarks laters from a young girl working there I got a refund. Listen the mercado is not the easiest place to work. Overcrowded and servers get lost trying to found the right table. That’s why you come early to avoid things like this. But this was an error that could have been avoidable we came early for a reason. We were in a hurry; ordered something quick from the place next to them OaxaCali, the same meal, a quesadilla de calabaza. Guess what it was more delicious, more cheaper, and more authentic. In fact the quesadillas they serve here aren’t authentic. Save yourself the trouble of ordering from a gentrified place that overcharges you and has terrible service for how much you pay.

The food is outstanding and the prices are surprisingly affordable for LA. The tortillas are fresh and delicious, the mole is fantastic, and everything comes out quickly. The whole atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Definitely go early to grab a table.
The zucchini cake was one of the best I’ve ever had. The street corn from the neighboring stalls is also amazing. It’s a perfect place to spend an evening.

Fresh, tender tortillas. Need i say more?? I had the plantain fritters in miles which was amazing. Got a few quesadillas but the squash blossom and corn quesadilla was the star of show.

Suadero taco was one of the best tacos I’ve ever had! The Mole was excellent. The vibe was a cool hangout for a food hall close to USC campus. Lots of excellent
