I went by reviews before I ordered(Uber) so here is my opinion. Ordered pork ramen and edamame. Ingredients were fresh and broth was flavorful but not traditional style if that's your thing(definitely mine) edamame was the star. As soon as I tasted the garlic on the edamame I smiled with pleasure. Pretty good

Great ramen! Pork broth was very porky and the cha shu was perfectly salty and sweet. The vegetable broth had a surprising amount of flavor. The noodles were bouncy and just the right thickness. Clean dining room. Cute set up. Will be returning!

cute little noodle shop. the food came fast. unlike other “authentic” ramen, their ramen leans more on the less greasy side, which is nice when you’re looking for some light, yet flavorful broth. the black garlic ramen was absolutely bomb.

Just here to say that Shinsuke is a petty tyrant who is unable to hear any opinion other than his own. Your responses to people's reasonable reviews have been terribly disrespectful.

The food is great here. It really reminded me of the soup I got in Japan!! The only problem is that the place is small..:)

This place serves probably the best tasting spicy ramen I have ever had ?. Customer service is efficient, our food was served in 5 minutes. The restroom ? was clean. However, the place can get crowded very quickly because of how small the restaurant is and parking can be quite challenging (street parking only).Food (there is a reasonable amount of selection, but we only tried 1 dish:- Spicy Miso Ramen (10/10): Like I mentioned earlier. This is probably the best spicy ramen I have ever tasted. Wow, the broth is savory and addicting, I actually finished my ramen down to the last drop of the broth ?! Noodles were mildly chewy and tasted awesome! Their chasiu had very little fats, which was great! Finally, the portion served was very generous!Overall, I love the ramen here ?, the only I wish was better was the parking!TIPS: If you want iced water, you could do self service. it'll be to your right when you enter.

We think the Ramen here is terrific. We get the black garlic which is so flavorful and delicious. The place is tiny with only a few seats, but the people there are nice even if the signs that are posted outside and inside the restaurant are very negative.

Besides excellent ramen, they make absolutely top notch gyoza.Additionally, the staff is kind. I've eaten here several times and never had bad service.

I ordered the spicy pork ramen and was unhappy with the food. Ate it there, so can't blame transportation. In addition to mediocre broth, their egg was fully hardboiled versus the soft boiled normally seen for ramen.

I love ramen & am always in search of good noodles and broth. This tiny postage stamp-sized joint serves good ramen but the oiliness of the rich broth makes it less than appealing. Also they have only one kind of noodle, which are very good and were nice counterpoint to the tofu & mushrooms ramen (vegan). Customers order at an outdoor tablet screen & are asked to stay outdoors. It takes a few tries to understand how to order: basic noodles, with level of spice being adjustable, 2 free toppings, and a charge for any additional topping. The downsides of Kotoya are the horrendous parking situation in the evenings, the tiny outdoor space with a few shaky stools, the even tinier interior with some bar seating and 2 tables. The strict rules posted and the discomfort of eating here in general makes it not likely I'll visit again. (also, if you need to take food to go - the portions are generous - you're given a super-sipper, 64oz styrofoam cup to pour your soup into! My suggestion is to take your own glass storage bowl.)
