This restaurant is deeply rooted in the LA community and has built a loyal following over the years. The short ribs are an absolute must. I always go for plate #2 with both short ribs and chicken. The flavors are rich and comforting, and the portion is perfect. My second favorite item is their shredded lettuce salad with ginger dressing. Do yourself a favor and grab two extra cups of that dressing; it’s that good. Even the grab-and-go drinks are a pleasant surprise, priced super affordably compared to most spots in the area.

The food has been delicious since I started coming here in the 1990s. It hasn't changed! Thank goodness for that! I highly recommend the beef yakiniku and beef short ribs. My husband loves the chicken teriyaki. Their salad is different from most in an excellent way. It's a hole-in-the-wall worth coming to whenever I'm in K-town!

I ordered Takoyaki, Chicken Karaage, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Dumplings. Each food item was pretty bland, and didn't taste like it was made from fresh ingredients, or the right ingredients. It didn't seem like each dishes was prepared with the correct spices/ingredients for each dish and it didn't really taste like Japanese food. The spicy tuna roll didn't taste like tuna at all, and wasn't spicy at all. I didn't finish that because I don't want to trust raw fish if they're skimping on ingredients. The chicken was kinda tough, and didn't come with any dipping sauce (aside from packets of soy sauce and chili oil). Staff was friendly enough, but I ordered take out, so it was a quick exchange. Atmosphere was weird too. There was one big table kind of cutting off the rest of the restaurant, so the whole place felt kind of blocked off.
