This place smells like your Lola's kitchen. It has that distinct smell of a hot, metal rice cooker wafting throughout and the sharp tang of vinegar on the edges. I grew up on adobo, so I can be picky about restaurant adobo, but Kusina Filipina gave me full nostalgia when their chicken adobo hit the table. The chicken was juicy, and the sauce had the right balance of shoyu to vinegar. The lumpia were tightly wrapped and super crispy. I had to make a conscious effort to stop eating them. And the sisig had quality pork - bonus, it reheated perfectly the next day. We actually came here to see the local comedy show they host weekly. I love that they try to support community activities and the show was decent, but the reason to come back is the incredible and authentic Filipino food. The service is fine. It's like Island Time Kine service - you know, you get the check when Uncle feels like bringing it, you get water when you ask Auntie nicely - I think if you come expecting the sort of service you get at a gentrified-type restaurant, you're going to be unhappy. Long story, short: If you come for the excellent food and you're patient, you'll have a nice time. If you don't have time or patience, order takeout, be just as happy.

Bad experience from the beginning-there was only one other party when I walked in with my partner and the staff couldn't be bothered to seat us until we got menus off the counter ourselves. Finally, did anyone feel compelled to tell us we could pick a seat anywhere. The food was flavorful (for the most part, the potatoes with our chicken adobo were practically raw, we couldn't even completely get a fork through them) but we could hardly smell it over the scent of bathroom cleaning products that permeates this entire place. I tried enjoying the food, I really did but was constantly distracted from swatting off fruit flies away from our table. Again--there was only ONE OTHER PARTY and the entire time we were there staff were too busy on tiktok to check up on us, refill our water, or even bring us our bill after we were done eating. Had to get up to the counter to pay and no I did not leave them a tip because they don't deserve it.

Had lunch at KF in Cerritos: kare-kare claims oxtail but only had 2 or 4 pieces, the beef was real hard and seemed old ingredient and not tender; tokwat baboy only came with big cubes of real fatty meat and tokwa not properly cooked. I'll never go there again and so disappointed.

Food was mostly delicious but it is extremely overpriced. For my family of 5, our food was $250+. Also, we were charged an automatic gratuity tip of $48...

The food here is always very delicious and comforting. Ordered the pansit bihon, chicken adobo and lumpia and we all enjoyed it. I call in the order and it's ready very quickly.

After a long days work, this is the perfect place to come for some comfort food. The music takes some getting use to, but it has some

We taste tested 4 other Filipino restaurants for the Pancit and Kusina Filipina won our catering order. The lumpia is also great.

I already posted my review on Yelp but I will post it also in Google my personal review of this Authentic Filipino Cuisine “Kusina Filipina”.This is my first time writing a review of a Filipino restaurant. OMG, their food is super delicious and authentic, lots of items to choose from. prices are very affordable and the server is very hospitable. can't wait to go back to this place. Even though I live in Ventura county I will still find time to visit this place and dine with my friend.Thank you Kusina Filipina for serving Los Angeles. You guys rock and awesome ???

During the pandemic, I ordered take out multiple times and the food is consistently good. The portions are large, plenty to feed a family. I've never actually eaten at the restaurant as I've gotten in the habit of ordering takeout versus eating at the restaurant. I do recommend their food if you're looking for authentic Filipino comfort food.

Get the bbq skewers! You can't go wrong with them! We ordered them for a camping trip. They were easy to pack and easy to cook at the campsite.

For my first time trying Filipino food it was good. Packed with flavor, the service was amazing. Hands down. I definitely need to go back to try some items I should have tried but had NO space for.

I got the beef Kare Kare, which I'm pretty sure it was a just a peanut butter soup with the worst cuts of beef (slimy fat) and a whole stalk of bok choy thown into a bowl. That, plus lumpiang, a side of rice and one of their noodle entrées ended up being over $70. It was all greasy, the bathroom sink was clogged and dirty with no toilet paper, they never gave us a receipt, and they added gratuity without our permission. This was more like a Filipino inspired panda express with more grease. I'd rather go to Panda Express.
