The food is very delicious but the place is very small, they sat us at a table where all the waiter customers passed by and the people who receive you are eating and they put their butts there stuck to the table of my food where they couldn't fit to pass that I didn't like every k They passed by and with their buttocks there, putting them on my table, horror and the sound of so many people, it sounded very ugly because they were so crowded, one of them was there ??

In the area, 1st time visit. Dark and has tvs. Food came out too quick. Carnitas were not fresh yet recommended by our server. Salsa tasted generic. Im pretty picky. A gringa who likes a solid kick. Service was quick and friendly, and the bar tender made sure we didn't want more shots (just came from a mortuary). Had the sampler platter as well. Would not recommend for more than 2 peeps. Or ya, dont get to taste everything. Will say had a drink that sounded dangerous yet tasty. May try to make myself...El Diablo....hmmmmParking: Parking around the corner on street.

The food used to be great back in the old days now food quality is extremely poor… but for people unfamiliar with Mexican food that would be a great place for them because it could be a bit better than chipotle Mexican grill

Best Mexican food I’ve had in LA so far. Wow! Fresh salsa and chips, tasty margaritas, and the food is fantastic. I had the taco/enchilada combo and my wife had the pescado. We cleaned our plates. Even the rice and beans were delicious. On the top of our list of places to go when we’re in the neighborhood.

Omg! I’ve looking forward to eating this. I haven’t had it for a while. But it exceeded my expectations. So delicious and hot plenty to eat. So much I had to take it home.

This place is NASTY!!Also GHETO!!!The food is mediocre as hell!!!Service was okay, the servers were attentive. It's doesn't even feel like a Mexican restaurant. The texture of the rice was weird. The salsa was foamy. I haven't been here in years and it truly was a huge disappointment!!!

Food is delicious, but the service is Terrible. I went to this restaurant yesterday (3/22/2024) afternoon around 3 o'clock hour to meet with my cousin for late lunch. When I arrived, the hostess did not assist me nor greet me, nor looked me in my eye when I asked for her help, I had to look for my cousin to be seated. The server was terrible. He never greeted us, didn't introduce himself to us, rushed us for our order, got irritated when we asked him about details of the meals while ordering, he was very short with us and combative as if he didn't want to serve us. Very unfriendly towards us and gave us no eye contact as if he was disgusted. We ordered water which he never brought out. My cousin wanted to send back an order she couldn't eat and wanted order something else instead, but he ignored her walked away and left the food. He never checked on us, wasn't attentive to us or our requests/orders, but was engaging and attentive to the "other" patrons around us ? Very odd behavior and sour attitude, so I signaled him over to our table to express a couple of concerns about our orders - instead of listening to my concerns to resolve it, he became irritated, short, cut me off, and combative and threatened to tell the manager and walked away. He later came back (without the manager) and dropped the bill in front of me and tried to storm off which I then told him to bring the manager over I wanted to speak with him. He brought the manager over, and I explained to the manager both mine and my cousin's concerns regarding our orders and most specifically the bad service and unprovoked treatment and attitude we received from our waiter. The manager did show empathy and acknowledged our concerns and resolved our issue and fixed our bill. Another server came to me and tossed the updated bill at me, no eye contact no words, and walked away ? As we gathered our things and began to leave, our waiter decided to be friendly to us and speak to us by wishing us a good day and come back again ?. Needless to say that we will Never return to this establishment, and highly recommend that others "that look like us folks" follow suit. Good food, but Terrible service.Upside of this terrible experience: After leaving confused & disappointed w/ La Barca, we went to the warehouse at the Marina and was welcomed and served with friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism ????Shout out to our server/bartender Derek @ the warehouse in Marina del Rey for being so Awesome! ??

A bit overhyped in my opinion. The food was okay a bit too salty for every one on the table, ordered chicken, beef and shrimp. The meat was overcooked to the point of being chewy. The shrimp was cleaned (de-veined) which I appreciated but overcooked to the pony of being a bit bitter from how charred it was. My friend had food spilled on him and the food took very long to get to us. We were content but will not be coming back.
