I used to go to El Mercado del Este de Los Angeles to satisfy my gordita craving but discovered their other location here in El Sereno. I prefer this location because it's not as chaotic, there's plenty of parking, and spacious seating area. Their menu is similar to the one in El Mercado, including aguas frescas, bionicos, licuados, etc. Personally, I love their gorditas with chicharron guisado or carnitas. I've also had their burrito mojado with chicharron guisado. I like my burrito with red and green salsa with crema on top. Their menudo is yummy, too. I like it with granos but no pata de puerco and handmade tortillas. Overall, I prefer the freshness of the food at this location, the ease of finding parking, and the availability of tables to enjoy your hot meal at the location. I also learned that you can call on your order and pick it up.
