The environment is nice, and so is the patio but the bartenders are consistently pretty rude and seem overall unhappy to be serving folks (which you’ll see from the other reviews). If you can get past that the drinks are good and relatively inexpensive

Smoking patio but they decide if its cigs or LEGAL marijuana. Weird. Felt like I was being watched. Security guard then started passing by to check on us. Second and last time I come.

The crowd and the place are pretty darn cool and down to earth. One of the least pretentious HP bars, don't get me wrong it still is but not as much as other places down the street. Very chill spot generally not too loud. They have corners where you can make out with and finger blast your date into next Tuesday. Part of the reason Balogna Tuesdays were banned here in 2018.

One of my favorite bars in Highland Park. The tacos at night are so delicious & the drinks have never failed me. A nice place to sit and talk with friends or lovers at night when the other bars on the strip are full.

The bartenders have no manners!
Very messy, the place itself is pretty but it's dirty.
They tell you the drinks they have are on the menu, you ask for said drink, and they tell you they don't have it.

One of the original neighborhood bars left and still one of the best.

Delicious margaritas and old fashioneds! They always have good music and delicious food pop-ups in the back! One of my favorite bars in the area

This used to be one of my favorite bars in the area if you asked me a year ago. It's tucked away in Highland Park and they did a great job on the interior design - it's dark and gothic/hipster themed with wrought iron chandeliers, edison lightbulbs, and mason jars with tealight candles. The outdoor patio area is charming. None of that has changed. However, in the last 6 months, the service has gotten increasingly bad (3 times out of the last 4 times I went, the bartender forgot to give me my credit card back with the check). They have a DJ on certain nights, which is great but it's way too loud to converse with anyone. The last mixed drink I ordered (the Jalapeno margarita) was made so poorly that I left an almost full $10 drink on the table. I switched to the tequila special which was also not worth having.

One of my all time favorite bars in LA. Used to go there in 2011 and they're still going strong. Great atmosphere, solid happy hour with $7 Old Fashioned. Hopefully it'll be here for decades to come.
