Nice atmosphere, locale really sells the the carribean vibe, reminded me of some san juan bars. $20 drinks, mid mojito, nacho libre and fresita are good, sexy guahira and la Havana were great. Too loud in the live music room, ears were ringing. They do have dancers dance on the bar but then just put stuff right back without even wiping the countertop off, kinda gross.

I’m confused about the dress code. We came in with a collared button down dress shirt, nice pants, and dress shoes. Everyone else seemed to be in white t shirts and sneakers…. Inside was super hot but when the show started they turned the AC on. Great show but we left after.

Too crowded
We had confirmed table service for 12 in the main room, 2 weeks out we were told they can’t honor it for a private party. If you’re considering hosting an event here, be prepared for unreliable and dishonest treatment. No apology, no offer to rebook with a concession, just completely unprofessional.

Awesome atmosphere! The whole Havana vibe gave me all the feels 😍 (2nd generation Cuban🇨🇺💃🏼.) The burlesque show was so fun! It was tasteful, beautiful and interactive. The band was incredible too. It was a great first time experience. My only suggestion is getting there early because it gets packed quickly and also a folding hand fan would come in handy ladies ( and gentlemen, if you wanna make a good impression 😉) because it gets really hot in there, plus it would go with the aesthetics. I'm planning on checking out their free salsa class on Tuesday night at 8:30pm with my boyfriend. Sounds like a great time. Can't wait!
Great vibe. Jose was amazing!
When getting bottle service, in addition to tip, they’ll slap on an “entertainment fee” even if they the table you’re assigned is not where the artists perform. This place is extremely small and gets ridiculously crowded, even if you have your own table, chances are people will be bumping into you. Typically a benefit of getting bottle service is the fact that you have your own personal space. That is not the case at this location.
I’m surprised to see this bar wasn’t reviewed higher so I thought I’d chime in. I’ve been here a handful of times for free Salsa classes Tuesday night and free Bachata on Wednesdays and it was awesome!
WHY ITS AWESOME
- This place is a secret speakeasy in a part of town you’d never expect and they do cool shhh at the door when you enter (love the attention to detail).
- The ambiance is amazing.
- This is one of the few salsa classes I’ve been to where the entire group skews young and relatively hot.
- The salsa teacher skews hot lol. She’s an amazing teacher and breaks things down extra well for beginners. I’ve taken a lot of salsa classes and this stands out by far.
- Later in the night (after salsa) there’s dancing, live musicians and burlesque! The fact that there’s no cover, free salsa lessons, and free live entertainment makes me feel spoiled
drinks are like $20, but how else is this place supposed to pay performers and make money? Whether you go to salsa or you want to go out, this place is cool
Really fun place to go with friends.

Unfortunately, my night here was ruined before it even began, thanks to an extremely rude and disrespectful bouncer named Christian. From the moment we arrived, he seemed more interested in asserting authority than providing any form of hospitality or basic respect.
Rather than greeting guests or handling the line with professionalism, Christian spoke down to people, made unnecessary comments, and came across as aggressively confrontational. It was clear that several other patrons were also uncomfortable with his attitude.
A good venue should start with a welcoming door, and in this case, Christian set a hostile tone that overshadowed anything the bar itself might have offered. Management should seriously reconsider who they put at the front line of their business.
There are plenty of great bars in the area—ones that don’t make you feel disrespected before you even walk in the door.
One of my favorite places for a good dance!
La Descarga is a hidden treasure that offers one of the most authentic and immersive speakeasy experiences in Los Angeles. From the moment you step through the discreet entrance, you’re transported to a bygone era of charm, sophistication, and excitement.
The venue’s ambiance is exquisite, reminiscent of Havana nights with its vintage decor, dim lighting, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The Cuban music is a standout feature, with live performances on weekends that are nothing short of electrifying. The musicians capture the heart and soul of Cuban rhythms, creating a vibe that’s impossible not to dance along to.
And speaking of dancing, La Descarga takes it a step further with their breathtaking dance show. The performers exude passion and energy, seamlessly blending traditional Cuban styles with a touch of theatrical flair. It’s a captivating experience that makes the night feel truly special.
The process to get in is straightforward and reasonable, adding to the speakeasy mystique without being overly exclusive. Once inside, the exceptional service and expertly crafted cocktails make it well worth the visit. Each drink feels like a journey through time, perfectly complementing the enchanting surroundings.
La Descarga is not just a bar; it’s an experience. Whether you’re looking for a unique date night, a celebration, or simply a memorable evening, this venue delivers in every way. Highly recommended for anyone who loves music, dance, and a touch of adventure!

Ugh I love this place so much! The vibes, the music, everything! I've gone for salsa class on Tuesdays and Jose is an incredible teacher. Not to mention, it's so fun to practice what you learned afterwards. Definitely a great place to go any day of the week!

Bouncer was rude allowed ppl to cut in front of others. Kept pushing table service on ppl who were waiting and tried to sell “you’ll wait less if you get a table” be prepared to deal with being groped and security not doing anything about it.
