❌ False Advertising, Bland Food, and Not Worth the Price — Only the View Is Nice My family and I had a really disappointing experience at La Lo La Rooftop. OpenTable lists this restaurant as Tapas/Small Plates, which is exactly why we chose it—especially with our 19-month-old who loves tapas. To our surprise, there were no tapas on the menu at all. When we asked for the tapas menu, the server told us they “no longer see a need to have two menus” and now just serve the general hotel menu instead. None of this was communicated upfront, and it felt like misleading advertising. We had already paid $27.50 for parking and had a hungry toddler, so leaving wasn't an option. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was extremely bland and flavorless—we even sent one plate back. The sangria tasted watered down, and overall nothing matched the pricing or the expectations set online. Service was also a major issue. Our server barely checked on us at all, and at one point she went on break without telling us. We only found out when we asked for the check and another server mentioned, “Oh, she's on break—she should have told you.” Between the auto-gratuity and the lack of communication, the service felt uninterested and unprofessional. On top of that, they automatically add a 20% gratuity without informing you, which explains the nonexistent service—because the tip is guaranteed regardless. For 4 sangrias, 1 AC Club Chicken Sandwich, and 1 Rigatoni Pomodoro, our bill came to $169.45, and my spouse didn't even have a meal. Absolutely not worth it. The only positive thing here is the rooftop view—but Los Angeles has plenty of beautiful views without paying nearly $170 for bland food and poor service. Save your time, money, and appetite. This place is not what it claims to be.

It was a good experience. The views, ambiance, and drinks weee good! The service was a bit slow which prompted us to go to another place to continue the night. We were able to get 3 drinks and fries before waiting for a while for the server to come back around to order more... finally we ended up asking the buss boy from a neighboring table to get us the bill which prompted our server to come over and ask us if we needed anything else.

We were there during an event that occupied most of the space. We were ignored by servers for the most part. It took forever for the food to arrive and when it did it was cold.

The place had a great view of the skyline especially at sunset. The reason for the low rating, after being seated we were not help for 15 minutes and no one served us. A group of severs were 10 ft. away just talking. We ended up leaving.

I had a reservation at 8 pm they took about 15 minutes to set down us,they give a atable and no one was attendant us until 15 more minutes and it was the same girl that give us the table she came with a cup of water on a plastic cup after that I ask to give us a better table and she said ok one moment she took and extra 5 to 10 minutes to gives as the table And the same time she took the order. After that we have no water nothing on our table no one come for the next 15 to 20 minutes not even the drinks So we decided to leave This was a horrible experience never comeback and no recommendations for sure

Food was good, drinks were okay, but worst part was the service. Waitress came around one time to take drink ordered and was MIA over 40minutes. Had to ask a different staff member to take our order. Even then, they weren't very attentive, had to ask for water several times. Overall, not a pleasant experience and will not be returning.
The view is beautiful but the service is not what I was expecting no water I order two drinks that I don't like the lady came and ask if a wanted another one and I say yes but never bring it to me, we ask for water they never bring us any we see a lots of tables having the same trouble one table ask to the lady 7 times just to pay 7 times they need to improve the service..

Never got to try the food so idk what it tastes like but I called yesterday a little bit after they opened asking for clarification on if they’re open Sundays or not seeing as Apple Maps says they are but Google Maps says they’re not. Nobody ever answered me, I left a message, and never received a call back. Anyway, we changed plans to another close-by restaurant that actually answers their phones.

While waiting for my friend to arrive at the inside bar, I went to ask for a drink and the bartender waved me off and pointed at a nearby waiter. They gave my friend and I blankets for the cold that were used (unrolled and smelly). However CERTAIN guests who arrived after us received clean rolled blankets. A single glass of wine for my friend took 30 minutes, while the waiters stood around chatting, and we had to flag one to finally inquire about the wine. The attitudes floated between polite to bothered and then couldn't be bothered for the last hour of our visit. It was actually ridiculous and infuriating, all the while we remained kind and patient. This experience was just unfortunate, won't be back.
