The chicarrion was surprisingly very good, which I think was tripe. The carnitas were also good. The Nogales caxtus salad was rather flavorless. Overall, good common Mexican food rather than great.

I shall start off with first crediting my sister for choosing the lunch spot, where I haven't visited in a year. The food was Bang-On, Mate! We had to opt for outside seating due to the Warm, summer day. Who's complaining? Fortunately, there was a Mariachi band "getting their money " to Make for a complete moment of my Throwback experience. The grassy spanse nearby has been cleaned up, too. Thanks, Sis!

Ok, ok, good place to eat Mexican food in the area, taking into account what we already know: it won't taste the same as eating in Mexico, but it is good, considering that it is in the center of Los Angeles. Under these circumstances I give it 4 stars, the place is picturesque, it seems to me that it lacks more variety in the stews, the beans are very good. Regular attention.

Overall is good, flavor, service... Tortillas well hand made, beans good flavor also cafe de olla very. My only thing is i got a Menudo ... Trust me it was good. But I only got about 12-16 cueritos and of course lots of broth. I think it should be a bit more for the $$ we paying.

Food is not disappointing, price is fair in a touristy place like olvera street. This restaurant is also serve as a luggage storage place, which is pretty convenient.

They have a cozy patio that full of flowers and birds chirpping.

You won’t miss anything if you don’t come and you won’t regret anything if you do come.

Went down to Olvera Street today, Thursday, June 6, 2024, with my Lady, and, our Future Daughter -in-Law to pick up some Dodger T-Shirts for My Son, which was at work at the time. On the low profile. Lol! We had the 2 rolled Carnitas tacos with rice and beans on a plate. Which I do recommend to all in search of authentic Mexican food. Btw, Co-sign for this place. The food came to our table nice and hot, fresh, and in a timely manner. it was Knock your socks off delicious. WOW!!! Parked around the corner at the parking meters, fore I displayed my Disabled Placard so I park for free. Idk how much parking is in the paid parking lot now? It was 7 bucks back in the day. Before the pandemic. that was already kinda much then. Anyhow, got in there, handled, smoke a cig after meal and that was the most comfortable meal and morning at Olvera Street Los Angeles. This is Chuy aka Jesse Viramontes orale!!

The best carnitas that I’ve had in a long time. The homemade tortillas add to the experience. ?

Our go to place for carnitas when we visit the area. They have a carnitas torta that is delicious. Had been going there for a while and didn’t know about it but it’s delicious. Champurado is great as well.

We went to LA Luz del Dia restaurant on a weed day for lunch. We had the carnitas tacos plate with rice, beans, and salsa. The food was served on a paper plate (which I personally did not appreciate) but the food was cooked to perfection and was excellent! The establishment (including the restrooms were spotless) We are definitely coming back here again in the future!
