May 26, 2025 my family and I stopped by to grab some sweet goodies on our last day of vacation in Los Angeles area. We purchased stuffed croissants, conchas, assorted cookies and blended oatchata.
The pastries were great, the blended oatchata delicious but the customer service was incredible. The ladies there were so welcoming, sweet and were really dedicated in educating us about their products and had great recommendations. Absolutely greatful we stopped by where these incredible dedicated ladies were able to help us figure about goodies to bring back to the bay area. I will definitely be back to this place.

I came across this cafe and decided to check it out! The cashier was extremely friendly and I LOVED her personality. The drinks were pretty good. Not the best latte or matcha, but they were decent. Overall a wonderful experience!

It is a very nice place that I sit in almost every day, the cakes there are delicious. Their variety of drinks is enjoyable, the problem is that now they have raised the prices, and in addition today I arrived as usual. Because it was a hot day I wanted to drink a cold soda with ice, I was surprised that they added a dollar to the price of the soda, and in addition, they refused to serve me the soda with ice ???
They demanded an extra dollar for a cup of ice ???
I am an interior designer who travels a lot around the world, even in third world countries I have not seen such impudence!!! Shame on a place that does such a thing!!!

PURE INCOMPETENCE. I asked the cashier to confirm if the company still sells burgers. Three times she responded in Spanish. She refused to serve me because she is illiterate. Her name is Jocelyn. THE IRONY !!! La Monarch Bakery lost 10 burgers worth of profit due to hiring an ILLITERATE EMPLOYEE.

Excellent place to come pick up some traditional Mexican sweet bread and coffee as well as pastries and breakfast items. The outside is ragged just like everything else in that area, but on the inside it's very very beautiful and comforting and warm. I wanted to hang out and have breakfast there but we were in a hurry but please do yourself a favor and check this place out very cool.

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Monarca on Tuesday, and I must say that the service was exceptional. Our server, Yoseline, went above and beyond to ensure my experience was memorable. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations that really improved my meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place for a special occasion. I highly recommend La Monarch, especially if you are lucky enough to be served by Yoseline!

Absolutely love their pan dulces! I recommend their palmeras or orejas, they’re really flaky and melt in the mouth.

Once when I told the worker if there was an option to get the soy chorizo breakfast burrito without cheese, she offered to make taquitos with the ingredients of the burrito without the cheese! This was honestly super generous and I didn’t expect her to do that. The taquitos had a really good taste and were a filling breakfast!

Overall, I’ve always had a great experience with this location.

Unfortunately this place is not great. Service wise I've had some snafus that I thought maybe its an off day. But sadly once repeatedly ordering on their mobile app. I can see its a constant.
If you walk in no one engages with you.
I had too go up to a lady to ask for my mobile order which wasn't ready. Worse is that I had to walk her step by step to make it right cause she put regular milk when I paid extra for an alternative.
In short there are two other cafes in the area. Try those for better service and over all better experience.

Usually love the bakery especially for their cakes, but today the case was different. I put in my order for a dulce de leche came at 11am and my pick up time for 6pm. 15 minutes before my pick up time I receive a call that they do not have the cake I ordered (it was already paid for). When speaking to the worker they did not want to offer me a refund or discount. I ended up paying for a cake I did not order in the first place.when I opened the cake I noticed it was put incorrectly into the box. So when taking it out part of it was already ruined. So if you put in your order online always make sure they have the flavor you want or you'll be paying for a cake you did not order!!

The pan dulce is delicious, and inexpensive. We got the vanilla concha, Halloween concha, gava croissant, and cinnamon sugar bolitas. All of them where light and fluffy, the croissant was the only one with a real different texture, but all of them disappeared very quickly. All four items for $5.15, its a deal.
