I stopped by la monarca recently because I had heard good things about their mexican pastries. The conchas and coffee were decent, the concha was soft and the coffee had a nice cinnamon flavor. The staff was friendlybut the place felt a bit crowded and disorganized, and it took longer than I expected to get my order.
Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re in the area and want a quick treat, but I expected a little more for the price and the hype.

The inside is very beautiful. The cashier was super friendly. They don't have a big selection of breads compared to traditional panaderías but they do offer different varieties of breads that can't really be found. We tried the horchata concha, the matcha concha, dulce de leche cuernito, cookies and cream cuernito, guava cuernito. They weren't the best but it was nice to try something different. In my opinion the bread is over priced. The cheapest piece of bread is $2.99.
For the five pieces of bread we got we paid a little over $30. Like I said nice experience but the price is not worth the taste. The service was amazing if I did come back it would be for the service and to try their drinks.

Eloisa @ Lincoln Heights Monarca Bakery and Cafe was so nice. She helped us out through the menu. We got to choose something really delicious to drink thanks to her.

I would definitely come back thanks to her. She was so friendly. She was also very clean.... love this in someone who is preparing your food.

The shop was clean; great atmosphere.

I bought one of their burritos and my god it was HORRIBLE. They use a cheese sauce rather than real cheese.. it was nauseating

May 26, 2025 my family and I stopped by to grab some sweet goodies on our last day of vacation in Los Angeles area. We purchased stuffed croissants, conchas, assorted cookies and blended oatchata.
The pastries were great, the blended oatchata delicious but the customer service was incredible. The ladies there were so welcoming, sweet and were really dedicated in educating us about their products and had great recommendations. Absolutely greatful we stopped by where these incredible dedicated ladies were able to help us figure about goodies to bring back to the bay area. I will definitely be back to this place.

I came across this cafe and decided to check it out! The cashier was extremely friendly and I LOVED her personality. The drinks were pretty good. Not the best latte or matcha, but they were decent. Overall a wonderful experience!

It is a very nice place that I sit in almost every day, the cakes there are delicious. Their variety of drinks is enjoyable, the problem is that now they have raised the prices, and in addition today I arrived as usual. Because it was a hot day I wanted to drink a cold soda with ice, I was surprised that they added a dollar to the price of the soda, and in addition, they refused to serve me the soda with ice ???
They demanded an extra dollar for a cup of ice ???
I am an interior designer who travels a lot around the world, even in third world countries I have not seen such impudence!!! Shame on a place that does such a thing!!!

PURE INCOMPETENCE. I asked the cashier to confirm if the company still sells burgers. Three times she responded in Spanish. She refused to serve me because she is illiterate. Her name is Jocelyn. THE IRONY !!! La Monarch Bakery lost 10 burgers worth of profit due to hiring an ILLITERATE EMPLOYEE.
