Always amazing morning pastries and frequent customers get invited to try their newest items when they are first presented to our community! It’s amazing in 2025 for a company to actually appreciate customers.

I enjoy the peace and quiet of the restaurant, but the crew on this visit was poor in customer service. I'm a disabled senior woman. I got some coffee and read some of my book and after being there 1 ½hours, I got a refill and said, I'll just visit the restroom before I leave. At twenty till close. The employee said they'd closed he restrooms!! What? A coffee shop, with customers drinking coffee and they close the restroom half an hour early without notice? Boo. Not returning.

Pan dulce is OK, kinda expensive. They’re more commercial and preserved compared to what you’d find at a private owned, less fancy panadaria. Thier packaging and store decor is nice and service is good. Free samples are available which is a plus.
Parking may be a little difficult btw.

I digress, and retract my comment. The situation was rectified the staff here it was very helpful, they do need to work on the Champurrado though... ?, The sweet bread isn't excessively sweet and ... Thank you ? LA Monarca ???

This specific location is very much a staple to the community of Boyle Heights. This is my go to for a reasonably priced coffee or chai latte. The staff does an amazing job decorating for every holiday and maintaining the cleanliness of the store which is set in a historic building. I'm super grateful they have wifi and allow you to plug-in your devices. They always play new inspiring music that adds to the overall peaceful vibe.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp with rails on both sides for you to hold onto. Inside the tables and chairs are interchangeable for your convenience

This will be my go to bakery. The bread was delicious and I was able to sample out the cakes. Thank you to the manager for putting me on the tres leches drink. Crazy to think that I've drove by here for years and never stopped by. When in the hights this is a go to spot, great drink, good bread and amazing customer service. I'll see you tomorrow

Bad service. I placed an online order for pick up the next morning. Part of my order was canceled and I tried to call to see what was canceled, but no one answered. I was on hold for 7 minutes before I decided to end the call since I was down the street already. To my shock, there were no customers. Anyone of the employees could have easily answered the phone. As for the food, the orange juice is good, the champurrado tastes like cinnamon toast crunch in a bad way, and the conchas have a store bought quality to them.

Don't bother to call them, they never answer the phone so many times calling and dial 0 to place an order but they never pick up the phone.
